>>12598773Didn't terada said there won't be any new announcements till next year?
>>12598773Doubt it, but going by their track record I'd expect it to have some sort of reference to the next game the same way ACE:R did.

>An extensive retool of MG RX-78-2 with an entire new sculpt>Somehow P-Bandai>A shitty red 2.0 RX-78-2 with few retooled parts>Somehow normal releaseThis P-Bandai shit is getting so out of hand it's ridiculous. Originally it was meant for recolors, but now that there are kits that are half new molds, it literally makes no sense from a development standpoint to not release these on the wide market. Is P-Bandai selling that well that they could recoup the costs of these steel molds with ease?
>>12598352Thing is it's not just plates that are an expense - the plastic, the packaging, and the promotion all factor in, and if they go all the way through all that just to put kits on shelves to rot, they've spent even more money to not get much back. At least in the case of P-Bandai they have tighter control on the production run versus how many orders they have.Though I'm curious what will happen when/if they start doing this via 3D printing. Shit could get REALLY obscure.
>>12597771>from a recent TV series and is used by a popular characterFor half a minute?
>>12598418It had a showy debut at the end of one ep, kinda posed and some basic interaction the next. Had a kinda spare fight with Lightning where they swapped gunplas, and showed up at the finale. So longer, but not by a whole lot.Still, it was also Meijin's suit for all of Try. The only other thing he used was Kampfer Amazing for a brief exhibition.
>>12597681The heavy gundam was released as a unit in MSGO fairly recently.
>>12598753Same with the GP04.I've got ten DX Tickets on them trying to promote the kits with MSGO.

>>12598777Yeah, I downloaded them but they aren't working.

Does /m/ seriously believe Tomino is a good character writer? His characters are like aliens that are completely devoid of realism and believability. There's virtually no difference between them and the characters in the Star Wars prequels.
Hey /m/. Has anyone here played Heavy Gear assault? Is it any good? Also Heavy gear thread
>>12594410It's shit. Originally, it was supposed to be a series about conflicts between the North and South, with the two sides then joining forces to fight the threat from Earth. Tim Eldred, the biggest-name western VOTOMS fan, was attached to it at one point. However, the network didn't want another war series after having done Starship Troopers: Roughnecks, so we ended up with a mecha version of Wacky Races with the Northerners as Dick Dastardly who cheat in every single episode. The tabletop RPG salvaged the situation by saying that the series exists in-universe as Southern propaganda.
>>12596094The TV series could have been saved if it had been more like Pokemon -- every episode, the protagonists travel to a new city, meet new characters and help solve their problems in addition to the customary encounter with their rivals. But it would have required making a lot of new assets with every episode, so this approach would probably have required too much effort for a CGI tv series.
I really like the universe and I hope it turns out well. I have so many HG minis that I never built because all my friends stopped being interested in it, but I hope it does well.
So instead of trying to find that missing disc, I went and pulled out my HG1 copy and installed it on Windows 7.Menu colours are all messed up in that way you get with old games, but the game itself runs fine. Except that I don't think I remember the animations being this hilariously fast? And since we're getting old /m/ games to run, anyone got any idea how to get pic related working? (I think I tried dos box when I originally bought it, but I ain't very good... at anything)
>trying to get the pirated version of 2 to work>on a macFill my head with C4 and give me the detonator.
Finally got this off of eBay. I'm about 10 hours in. Has any of /m/ ever played?
>>12597578
>>12597708
>>12597650I think it sold really poorly, so that would explain why a sequel never happened.
The fact that the game isn't balanced so that it can be beat with the Zaku 1 or any other low tier unit is fucking bullshit. The customization isn't *that* good either.>>12594392Thinking about it some of them might have actually been like that on purpose.
ROM where
Currently 32 episodes in, this show is pretty fucking great.Titans or AEUG, /m/?
>>12593973Came in here specifically to say pretty much this. I'm at EP40 of ZZ and liking it at least as much as Zeta, and almost skipped it completely after all the shitposting I'd read here. The ZZ comedy is actually pretty fucking funny, and the characters and dialog feel much more consistent and professionally written than Z. It's absolutely not without big flaws (PURUPURUPURU!!!!) it may not be for everyone, but don't skip it without giving it a shot. DO skip the shitty EP01 recap/clipshow episode, though.
>>12593940Anti [Earth Union] not [Anti Earth] Union
The Titans were right all along, even though Jamitov himself was actually a spacenoid who hated the Earth elite. Nevertheless, spacenoids cause 90% of the conflicts in UC. The Titans were right to try and put them in their place.

Post Akashi pls
>>12598479It would have attracted more people if there was fanservice. It didn't have really any and focused mostly on the story and character growth which most shows today are scared to do.
>>12598494I give her a pass TO AN EXTENT. I understand WHY she's fucked up but at the end of the day she was still responsible for making sure Shinji and later Asuka got the proper moral and adult guidance they needed. And she screwed the pooch hard.
>>12598521Goddammit you people keep focusing on boogeymen buzzwords like "Fanservice", "moe", "pandering" in lieu of an actual argument and it's getting old real quick, especially when it's in the form of blatantly incorrect blanket generalizationsQuit trying to make your special snowflake series seem like it only failed because it "dared to be different" or some such nonsense - it failed because it did not deliver anything that an audience found interesting, that's all. And that's it's own fault, no one else's.Every show needs to offer something that will keep an audience coming back for more, and there are infinite ways of going about it. Compelling character drama, a riveting narrative, a mystery, action that satisfies, etc. Something, it doesn't matter what, that keeps people curious. And M3's issue is that it did find it's footing and delivered a compelling character drama and mystery, But it held off on them for too long and turned off the majority of potential viewers. Those that stayed got a good show out of it, but you can't blame the people who dropped it for losing interest in a borefest. Lastly, don't be fucking ignorant. Fanservice has always been a hallmark of anime, and you're deluded to think it wasn't just a prevalent in the past as it is now. It's just wearing a new coat of paint.
>>12598586Mystery and suspense take time to build up. You can't just rush everything out the gate in one episode and expect it to have any meaning. There's absolutely nothing wrong with a slower pace. Especially when shit is actually being built up too, and actual relationships are developed and formed. It didn't hold off on anything, because all that slow stuff at the start really came to a head in a major way in the end and the show was better for it.You're only kidding yourself if you think people these days don't have short as fuck attention spans, and it's a shame because it really does seem like no one can pick up on any characterization that isn't a loud declaration with jpop blasting in the background
I started watching A/Z (just finished episode 5) for her . Annoyingly enough, she is a supporting chara through and through. On the plus side, I want to fertilize Yuki-nee's eggs and Inaho's tactics to overcome the Martian Cataphracts are quite cerebral andentertaining. When does it become bad?
>>12595680I give this anon until Inaho returns with iNaho(the robot eye). >>12595466He was claiming it, to throw it all away in the end....the biggest irony is that this show tried to be epic, but it ultimately ends up being worthless due to the writers being opposed to the use of well-established Gundam tropes. Seriously, I wouldn't have minded Slaine as MC had they let Seylum and Inaho die. At least they would've focused on him instead of building him up, then crashing him
OP here, I just finished S1 (ep 12). I don't really dislike it so far, but maybe I have an exceptionally high bullshit tolerance. Then again, I didn't come into it with high hopes, I just wanted to have something to look at while I built a Takemi.
>>12598699Or maybe your tastes are just shit.
>>12598707Maybe. I feel like watchin Gundam SEED again, there were some good bits in it. I liked that scene where Cagalli launched off Orb and her dad blew the orbital elevator to spite the Earthicans.
>>12598731>>12598699Definitely shit taste.
US designed mech vs Japanes designed mech
Are we having another of THESE retarded threads?
>>12598305A soldier won't carry anything he doesn't have to. We're all lazy fuckers. You would be too, if you had to run all over the place with a gun and ammo and body armor and whatnot. Shit tires you out. Nobody likes being tired, and if there's a vehicle you can stick it on while you ride on it, so much the better.Besides, the flat surfaces on armored vehicles are because armor plates come in big slabs, nobody will detail them unnecessarily when any hit that actually requires their protection will rip them off anyway.
Is there a minimum size requirement for mechs?
>>12598228>Phoenix FXker MKIWould be pretty hilarious it it was actually a name.
Is this worth watching?I skimmed episode 1 and got valrave vibes
>>12596617There are three OVA episodes that recap the whole series and make the ending a bit tighter. You miss a lot of the story and action though, it's more like a quick refresher for people who have already watched it.
Is it a cold war anime? Please tell me, I don't want to be surprise-asslbasted.
>>12598617It is very much an anime produced during the cold war although a lot of it hearkens back to ww2 as well
>>12596982I thought Eiji's UNDERSTANDING was annoying at first, but it toned down as the show went along. OP, in my opinion it's a pretty damn good show and worth a watch. You can appreciate certain parts more if you like FotNS.
>>12596982> It's not like he's asking everyone to pardon Hitler and have him over for cakeHe did seem pretty willing to forgive and forget with that one asshole who just wouldn't die. The Gradosian fucker who was murdering his own comrades just so he could fight Eiji again. He might not have been having tea parties with him, but he wasn't far off at the same time.>>12598535> 1. That is not an uncommon opinionI haven't been in every thread here on it obviously, but it's certainly not an opinion I see often whenever I have seen the show talked about here> 2. I will fight you regardlessNo, you won't. You'll beg me to stop fighting because we can all get along if we try while a little girl kneels close by praying and thinking naive thoughts to herself.

>>12598220>artifactsBetter cap required!
I think I'm burning out on this game. All my pilots are SSRs or SR++, as are my TSFs, I have 15 million OP and I am not motivated to grind any more. The only way to get better is to train up SSR++ things and the only reliable way to get those is to become a buyfag.I guess it's a good thing I'm building a model Takemi instead.
>>12598709only 15 million OP,not all SSR++ pilots or TSFc'mon you can do better
>>12598730Well, I haven't really been trying. Plus, SSRs come from the gachas and events, and I only really want to give a fuck for characters I like. SR++ pilots and TSFs are dirt common nowadays with all the events.Plus, I have shit luck with gachas, I'm not like those people who get 3 SSRs within 100 tickets.
