Hello, friends greetings from /po/4chan:

Through this message, I want to denounce the blog of a person who makes incredible pieces of papercraft of the Simpsons, which are great. I say in advance that I do not know him in person, but his way of producing and make these pieces made me to start it to follow through his blog.

Much I appreciate that they conduct an investigation and to exhibit his work, since he has arranged for free parts of several of the characters from the Simpsons.
in advance I thank your attention and support.

Greetings from Mexico and an apology for my bad Vietnamese.

Kind regards.
Your fan, friend and follower.
LEX.

It's a Terraclips set called Streets of Malifaux. None of the terraclips products are being produced anymore so we will all suffer together.
>>
>>526044
They don't look too hard to make at home. Even the clips can be easily jury rigged.

>>525985
I can post a few tiny tutorials here to show how I made those things but they're not really paper craft, it's more like cardstock recycling.
>>
>>526045
Unfortunately you are wrong.
I say this as a person who has been making my own for a while, they are a bitch and a half to make.

Hey /po/,

I've been working on my own papercrafts/cardboard models for many years and recently I thought I'd do something for all of us.
So I will be making models from games/movies/anime etc. each very detailed so don't expect anything easy to build.

I'd like to know your honest opinion about this idea.

Btw you can find a sample pdf on my page (it's too big to attach here):

I like it! Your approach/attitude is nice. Just like anon, I don't have much money to support you. In time, with a larger collection of models, I think you will find success as more people discover you. Maybe you should consider making simpler models too, which would cater to a much larger group. Offering one or two models free is a good strategy, I think.
>>
>>525777
Another good advice! You anons never disappoint.
So I was thinking to release first one (few?) for free but... hmm, wait... why not? Let's do it! :D
We all love free stuff and I'm no exception. I'm still in the middle of making the manual tho. It takes way too long!
About simple models, aren't they everywhere?
Tho they could expand my collection much faster.
You gave me a lot to think about.

Ok let's add a wishlist to this thread.
Maybe there are models you'd like to build but can't find on the internet.
>>
>>525781
You could do easy ones, medium ones and hard ones so you have stuff for every group :)

I may do few simple ones but I rather be known as the guy who's doing hard stuff.

Btw Part 2 is almost ready, only instruction left.

Does anyone here know any actually interesting model which can be made with a round piece of paper?
>>
Yea you could measure the diameter and based on that calculate the size of a square within the circle you can use to do some stuff.

I've got a shit ton of the PHiZZ units and I can put them into the groups of three, but after that I can't seem to figure out how to group them (groups of three) into a larger group of five. Any tips? Am I missing something?
>>
>>525400
How about actually using the flap&pocket on the remaining three units to add additional units, grouping them three and three? Also, go troll somewhere else.

Phizz units are the best, try and make a 2nd order buckyball.
So you could have 1st order with pentagons surrounded by a ring of hexagons, or 2nd with pentagons surrounded by 2 rings. In yours you have 0th order with no hexagons, only pentagons.

Does anyone know of a good printable papercraft for 3d shogi pieces? I am looking for pieces to print out and assemble.
>>
why not use another material for body and just glue a paper layer with simbols over them? it will make pieces more heavier, easy to use and last longer.

Try cardboard, foamboard, cork or something like that you found around, like coasters and pizza boxes.

here you can find some templates.

good luck ^^

Quilling I did a few years ago of a dragon... Don't know if it counts as papercraft or origami...

Papercraft, though i'd stick with quilling. Nice job, I'd love to have something like that to my name

It looks great. How long did it take you to make this? Is this hard for beginners?

>>
>>525980
Thanks! It's not really that hard. You just need some quilling tools and glue pretty much. They also sell precut paper if you dont want to cut it yourself. You also need to plan out your design before you glue it together. It can either be glued on a board or just be held together by itself. I think the first things I quilled were these little Christmas trees that I used as ornaments.
