Shi-Painter is back, but it still won't let you upload images unless you edit the java.policy file.

- On windows the file is located inside
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_31\lib\security
The location may vary depending on the Java version and OS.
- On Linux, if using icedtea-plugin:

- On OSX:

Try Synfig Studio if you want a professional quality stuff at open source prices.
You'll have to import images from your favourite paint program if you want frame-by-frame though.

First off, brpe sure your device drivers are up to date to rule out a technical issue (is the tablet optimized for the OS? Try more than one port to see if you get different results). Next, try different apps...then different brush types/sizes...different canvas sizes/resolution (if available). A *big* aid for me is *zooming*....when you draw in 'real' life and you get to some minute details you sort of 'hone in' on that part...your equivalent digitally is zooming.

Alternatively, I wonder if none of these factors have anything to do with it and are you just 'ticking' (drawing quick, short strokes). Because doing that, lifting your stylus off the tablet every 0.4 seconds, you can have trouble resuming a line and get the examples you have here. Advice for that? Draw BIG, using your wrist/elbow, which has a naturally smooth arc/range of motion constrained by your muscular/skeletal structure.

Finally, be faithful to the final result: you have a misdirected line and you know it? Erase and redraw, erase and redraw until you get it right; you'll eventually make less errors in the first place and more importantly, smoother/cleaner lines.

Yeah I got problems at first but I think it's okay now.

Yes, unfortunately I don't know why but both of my favourite programs, OpenCanvas and SAI don't recognize the pressure of my pen. I'll have to fix this later, because SAI's stabilizer is really great.

Also for the zooming part, yes, I read somewhere that when you draw in "big", then when you reduce the size, the line seems nicer, but it sounds like a pain to do just for the sake of having more or less clean lines. I'll try the zoom.

Yeah you might be right, I'm not fully used to the tablet yet, and even in real life I draw short lines, the only time when I did clean lines was when I was just a bit used to real life inking, and it was nice. Just a matter of habit maybe.

I really like Lazy Nezumi http://lazynezumi.com/ I have a slight tremor that gets wildly exaggerated when drawing on a tablet. This let's me draw like I intended.
It's not free, but it works well and is pressure sensitive.

I discovered Lazy Nezumi a few hours ago, but thanks anyway. It´s true it's great. I don't know if it's "cheating" if I don't learn to trace very well without it and just use LN but whatever, if pencil is like walking with shoes in the street, tablet is like ice skating in comparison.
