Fighting back edition.

Probably not a legit thread since there's no new comic stuff but it looks like all that crap in the fandom is one obsessive fan.

I sent her some support because of this post.
>>
>>72225405
It's not like she hasn't tried talking with them either. When this all started, so calmly explained why their were no asexual characters because of her lack of experience with them. It only made things worse.

Then she left Tumblr and cut all contact from the fandom. The shitposters just kept on going with attacks on anybody who looked at them funny and patting themselves on the back over it.

Seriously, all these people prattling on about how she should be more 'mature' should realise that it did nothing and she's being very clear and professional in telling eyebrows to leave her and her fans alone.
>>
>>72217376
More like the fucking crazy tumblr fans rifled through their book of terms and labels to pick one unlucky group they could claim to be offended for.

shit, I'm actually asexual and Crow calling Odin out as a virgin nerdlord was fucking hilarious. I'm honestly surprised they didn't start a shitstorm over Wrava throwing a burnt corpse at six because it might offend burn victims, or claiming that Wrathia's lava might trigger someone or some shit.
This comic could literally just be about Ava eating breakfast and they'd find something to get offended over.
>>

Is Kingpin more of a Spider-Man or Daredevil villain? I grew up with the animated series, so I had always considered him a SM baddie. But DD seems to have a hard on for Fisk as well.

I thought 616 Wilson only did that to minions.
>>
>>72223661
Spider-Man. Daredevil just stole him because most of his villains are crappy.
>>
>>72225067
>The reason why no one takes him down is because they all acknowledge the fact that he serves a purpose. No, of course, Frank isn't going to kill crime. But he does make a difference, much how Spider-Man does. If one more animal is off the streets then that's god knows how many lives saved.

Reading this really reminds me of Hitman. They were originally written by the same person, right? I remember reading this comic where Hitman and the Justice League are stuck in the Watch Tower, if that's what it's actually called, and they all lose their powers and he ends up using his guns to kill any aliens getting in their way. Everyone wanted him arrested, but Superman understood he was doing what they couldn't.

But Punisher is a Spider-Man villain.

As long as one or two players are well-geared, the rest can be fresh 60s and be carried, assuming they're not mouth breathing mongoloids. So yeah, you'll probably be more than fine.

Now that everything has settled down, what do you think of the whole Maximoff parentage retcons?
Personally I think that although the objective was sketchy, the outcome is for the best since the Magneto daddy issues were getting tiresome in recent years

Can someone explain Will Eisner's importance to comics? I love his work but I'd love some sort of explanation as to how Eisner was a game changer.
>>
>>72224694
His comics were basically technique porn, so they were VERY popular with artists.

But even then his influence is actually overstated. "Influential"? Sure. "Game changer"? No, not really.
>>
>>72224694
>how Eisner was a game changer

He was a jew and pretty good at whining about it. Just like how untalented assholes become big in the Hollywood. It's not obvious that how Eisner grew big in a medium where every single artist has a ashkenazi ancestry.
>>
>>72224694

Part of Eisner's significance is a matter of circulation. At its peak popularity during the 1940s, the so-called "Spirit section" (basically a tabloid-sized, 16 to 20 page color comics Sunday supplement that came with many US newspapers) had a weekly circulation of over 5 million. By comparison, Whiz Comics, arguably the most popular comic book of the Golden Age, had an estimated biweekly circulation of 1.5 million. The Spirit section was also notable in that it had a large adult readership because of its genre-diverse, anthology-style presentation (it could be said that it was equally popular with parents and their children).

Eisner was also an "artist's artist"—he played the role of incidental mentor to guys like Jack Kirby, Joe Kubert, Wally Wood, Bob Kane, Lou Fine, and Jack Cole, all of whom worked with him as collaborators or art assistants at the "comics packager" firm he co-owned, Eisner & Iger. He pioneered all sorts of visual storytelling theories and techniques we take for granted because they're now part of the common artistic vocabulary. No one really tried to formally codify things like timing, framing, and page composition in comics before he came along. He helped revolutionize lettering, incorporating word balloons and sound effects into the art.

If I had to guess, part of the reason The Spirit isn't discussed more often as one of the most widely read comics of the Golden Age is because many folks classify it as a comic strip, not a comic book (even though the Spirit section was practically a large-format weekly anthology comic book). Additionally, for all intents and purposes, he disappeared from the comics scene in the early 1950s to focus on his work as a private contractor for the Dept. of Defense. He was practically absent for the entirety of the Silver Age and most of the Bronze Age, although artists he influenced (directly or indirectly) like Kirby, Kubert, Wood, Steranko, etc. helped disseminate many of his ideas.

>What is this thread?
Every Wins'day at Win-O'-Clock we gather here and post links to the latest scans and rips of comic books.
Most links we uploaded ourselves, others we are sharing from elsewhere.
Some comics we've even purchased ourselves (but most we didn't).
If you'd like to help out, just ask and we would be delighted to tell you how.
Otherwise, be patient, be polite, and understand the simple concept behind these words: Not posted means not available yet.

>Where can I find old Win-O'-Threads?
http://archive.moe/co/search/subject/Official%20Win-O%27-Thread/
(Note: This finds the OP for old threads. If you want to search for comics in the archive, clear the subject field!)

>Where can I find downloads for other comics?
Warez forums/blogs (like AvaxHome), DDL-indexing search engines (like FileDiva), torrent trackers (like KickAss) and other P2P networks (like DC++).
If a link has been posted on 4chan, you can search for it in the Moe archive (add "http*" to searches to return only posts with links).
If all else fails, just >buy it.

The Snarts have always had a rivalry and held things back from each other. In the comics, Lisa was the first one to figure out Barry's identity and then she kept it from her brother.
>>
>>72189763
No! If she doesn't die he never becomes the flash.

Eventually they been building up to that fight across time the whole of season 1, I don't think Thawn is finished yet.

I hope Iris but probably Barry's mom again, maybe Thawn (Cop) or Cop Dad maybe a couple villains they seem to die very easily.
