I believe a parent has a greater right to their child than the government. "Infringe on the right of others health" if you are vaccinated how does it affect you? If you are talking about people who have weak immune systems these people are handfuls compared to the majority of the kids in school. I think this a problem of people like you who want to do good, but in your effort you basically take away freedom of other people. As a person living in America, I don't think that is a good thing to do. Why should you get to tell another what drugs they have to take?

Why do you people keep ignoring the same fact that gets presented to you over and over again? Vaccines are not 100% effective. In order to prevent outbreaks, you have to have vaccinated everyone in the population who can be vaccinated. Otherwise, you'll end up hitting a critical mass of unvaccinated people and people who did not develop an immunity, even with the vaccine. This is how outbreaks happen in a developed country: when paranoid people think they know better than their doctors and ignore proven medical science. Humans are notoriously terrible at risk analysis. They look at the miniscule number of adverse reaction cases and think that such a low percentage justifies taking actions that have a high percentage to endanger their children and others. It's ludicrous.

Stop listening to paranoia and ill-informed mommy-blogs and have a rational discussion with your family doctor, for Christ's sake.

Because people don't exist in a vacuum. Nobody has the right to endanger society, that's why things like yelling "fire" in a movie theater are illegal. You're basically arguing that parents should have the right to hurt innocent third parties, and that's so very wrong.

A child has a greater right to basic health care than a parent to deny it.

And fortunately for all of us, the government has ruled quite clearly that public schools can require vaccinations to attend.

Would you be ok with the freedom of an Ebola patient to live on your sidewalk, public land mind you? Why should you tell that Ebola patient where to live? The beauty of freedom of speech is that we allow people like you to talk. I wouldn't take away that right just because you're an idiot. But you can't take away my right to be safe.

Seatbelt wearing requirements is your own personal choice. You can choose to not wear one and get a ticket.

Running someone over is also a choice, less desirable, because the consequence is murder and jail time.

You can say what you want, it doesn't mean it's intelligent.

Would you take the polio vaccine? How about for your child? If you didn't, would you regret your child getting polio? Hell, FDR did and he became president. Your willful ignorance is your problem until it runs into my problem.

They are not telling you what drugs to take. They are telling you, your child can't go to school with mine if you are an idiot. Thanks America.
