I thought the exact same thing when I read that part of his post. I used to raise my voice and talk loudly a lot when I was in my young teenage years but then thanks to my mom I grew the fuck up and stopped LOL

eSports in a nutshell right now. There's a lack of authoritative figures that can actually correct these children in order for them to behave properly.

You're not mature at the age of 18, so if you live without your parents for the first time without anyone being there as some sort of authoritative or parent-figure to correct you whilst everyone tells you you're talented, you'll turn into the egocentric, loud and dumb person that Doublelift is.

Lets be fair, his statements lack any sort of structure. This in addition to the random capitalization of words to put emphasis on them just further adds to the picture of him being a spoiled adolescent.

Yes but where is the system that should have been set in place to control these players? Where are the coaches and managers? I think the players are to blame as much as you, but you can bet your ass that this kind of shit would not happen in a professional gaming house. CLG needs to shape up. They have no infrastructure and you can't place 100% of the blame on the players. If Korean teams let their players decide everything they'd be completely shit. That's why they have whole teams of coaches and managers sorting everything out. I don't understand how this doesn't get through some team's heads.

Doublelift wants someone that he both respects AND has the authority to whip CLG into shape.

The problem is that doing so probably requires the possibility of DL being benched, which CLG management doesn't want because DL is the face of CLG. So CLG management isn't actively looking for someone like this, so they get shitty management, so DL continues his toxic behavior and simply says "we have no coach or authority or true leadership."

The reality is that no one CLG has hired has the balls to say "DL, shut the fuck up and do what you are told, you are wrong, shut up." Because the people that say that get fired.

It is because the coaches/managers are afraid of upsetting their players. Kind of like parents who let their kids walk all over them so their kids just do whatever they want.

Soon as coaches start laying the smack down on their players the will improve their attitude. Similar to a parent laying the literal smack down on their kid and leaving them in mortal fear of doing something bad.

I think there's a lot of bias in your argument. Yes, they are mostly young, but I think being deragatory towards these young adults, as they try to find the right way of doing things, is an upstream swim.

Thank you for posting this. DL is just making (piss poor) excuses when he says he can't control his voice. Its utter garbage, and anyone who blindly accepts that is allowing their inner fanboi to get the best of them.

Why is it that whenever someone can bring up the fact that they were beaten as a child and they think it made them a better person, they do? You see it not just on reddit or facebook, but in person pretty often.
