A depressing but not exactly surprising fact - the gender representation problem stretches all the way to your favourite music festivals.

Website Pixable created these telling GIFs, in which they took the lineups for a bunch of last year's biggest music festivals and deleted the dude bands so that just the female artists remained, bringing the gender imbalance in live music into plain sight:

Geez, c'mon punk fests, you're supposed to be better than that.

As Mic notes, the numbers of male and female fans attending music festivals are pretty much equal. So why then when it comes to the bands and artists on those bills, does the gender split remain so remarkably unfair? Unacceptable, guys.
