No, it's unaware of what rom you have, it just needs you to have root. It's just an app to download lists of known ad servers and write the hosts file to ignore them.

Not sure if all of these are f-droid exclusive but I have found them all on there.

Abstract art ( live wallpapers that are all earthbound themed. Pretty fucking cool wallpapers. Especially if you love the Mother series)

Faster GPS ( speeds up your gps lock)

Frex (a weird fractal maker, kinda fun, especially since you can zoom into infinity)

OS monitor ( monitors all your processes and displays info about them)

RedReader Beta (the Reddit client I currently use and love)

And finally

Tinfoil for Facebook (just a non invasive fb client)

Yep. I use Redreader daily, and OSMonitor is nice for keeping track of what is going on inside the device (don't need to track wakelocks to know something is odd with a process).

Apps usually update sooner on F-droid than on Play store. And some of the updates I see there, I don't even see on Play store.

The F-Droid updates tend to be months later than Play Store ones usually from what I see, at least in the popular Firefox-scale projects.

Right now, both F-droid and Play store have 37.0.2 of Firefox. I got updates for OpenCamera before I saw the version released on play store. Xabber on Play store is still at 0.9.10f, whereas F-droid has 0.10.62. VLC keeps changing its mind about which to update first.

I love material design apps. Just makes everything so much better. I personally am surprised that so many people made material design apps so quickly. And/or redesigning there apps to conform with material design.
