This is the perfect example of a comment that wants to put all the blame on Rodgers.

Please never reply to one of my comments again, I am pretty sure I have told you that before.

I don't think he's being overly critical though, sure Rodgers was not given an open check book and authority to sign his own players but he does have some points of how Rodgers handled player management poorly

Sure... if you ignore the context of every single situation.

It's not like Lambert was a first option, though he has been criminally underused.. It's not like Origi being loaned back wasn't ALWAYS part of the deal. It's not like Borini rejected an offer to actually be sold. Aspas... uh... no real defense there.

I agree Lambert was misused, and hindsight is a bitch, but I think we all agree something should change. We wasted how much on all these players we bought and loaned and now are going to sell? Like 20m plus right? That's a hefty amount to waste plus wages

So why but lambert? Why not use borini? Why buy markovic? Why replace with mediocrity in Lambert, Lovren for a long time and such?

Why not do what Atletico or Dortmund have done and buy well? It doesn't have to be big but well is enough and so far, aspas, borini, Balotelli and such are all hardly buying well at all.

I guess my point with Origi is this- if you have £10M to spend and you need goal scorers desperately, does it make sense to use that £10M on a player that can't play for you for a year? It seems illogical to me. Borini was pretty clear he wanted to fight for his place, so it shouldn't have been too surprising he rejected the offer and fair enough as it his right to do so. I do agree Lambert should have played more, though. But of the above, they all tie back to Rodgers for me. He bought Borini and gave him a contract, harsh to complain about it now. Origi had to have Brendan's approval. And Rodgers builds the match day squad, so Lambert's game time (or lack of) is on him as well.

It is clear though that the committee weren't bringing him great options apart from Origi, couldn't sell Borini, and failed on Bony and Sanchez. They brought him Balotelli and Eto.

Brendan is the manager, a position he wanted with the power he wanted. There is no one else to fault for his bad decisions and he needs to own them.

I'll ignore the rest as that's pretty rubbish to be honest. If you don't want to reply to me, fair enough, but you don't really get to tell me not to respond to you. To be perfectly honest, I comment on comments and don't even notice the usernames.
