Sorry to break it to you but the other guy is right on GG. I disagree with some of his other points but the whole aGG stance is ad hominem in nature and if all you have to say about GG is a criticism of its members with no evidence then you bought the narrative. There is a larger than average proportion of women and lgbt in the pro GG crowd, though I imagine you could also say the same of aGG, and I think this speaks volumes that this is not cis males against feminism and much more of an internal struggle amongst people who identify as left leaning in general.

The main problem is that the aGG or SJW crowd or whatever you want to call it believes quite firmly that shaming other people for the choices they make or the way the world is is more productive than being the change or providing a solution. The pro GG crowd is prodominantly gamers of all races, genders, and sexual orientations wanting to enact change on the corruption within the media that reports on their hobby. There are many indie developers, independent game reviewers, and even mainstream developers on board - both men and women and a few in between. The aGG crowd is largely composed of people who don't play games, who see no value in games, and are using sexism as a clickbait for increased ad revenue. What they want to do is essentially ring their consumer base dry, and shame them while doing so. And worst of all they are incredibly sexist. Ludicrously so. The core of their stance is that women are too weak to work in such fields, despite all evidence to the contrary, that only men are capable of sexualising games (or art/entertainment in general) despite all evidence to the contrary.

Are there some sexist people with GG? I don't doubt it. Are there some people faking threats, doxxing innocent people, and attempting to ruin professions on the aGG side? Yes absolutely, there is evidence of their shit slinging. Are there shit people on both sides? Yes.

But if one side is left wing (in the sense that they promote the freedom for people to choose their own form of entertainment?) Then it's GG.

And for the record, I've seen more aGG attack women (and men) for not supporting their cause than I have seen proGG attack women (and men) for not supporting theirs.

And for the record I'm about (-6,-6). Not right wing, live in a lib dem seat and will be keeping them there (green is pretty weak here and labour have a good shout).
