This guy was a major pompous cunt, rude and selfish. Steve pushed for lowest wages possible, come in Foxconn... He didint give 2 shits about his employees. He has been in it for the money from day one, ruining friendships, Deceiving people and burning bridges along the way.

And luckily for everyone else in the world, he was mentally unsound and practically killed himself.

Mentally unsound my ass.
The guy held some spiritual beliefs that ran counter to conventional medicine which most likely resulted in his cancer spreading, and he made some really unethical decisions in both his business and personal life, but you don't turn a failing business into one of the most successful, enduring businesses in human history by being mentally unsound. People who worked with him say he was one of the most intelligent, intuitive individuals they've ever met.

Not mentally unstable.
You're fucked in the head if you die because you believe herbs and oils heals cancer.

You know what they call traditional/herbal/unconventional medicine that works? Medicine.

Enduring? Whoa there buddy. Apple has only been at the top of its game for the last 10 or so years. I think it's way premature to call it enduring.
Yeah I think being around for less than half a century puts a damper on the "successful, enduring businesses in human history" bit. I think all of these companies would like to have a word with you

I love how you're preaching to me about followership while gladly diving into one reddit's favorite circlejerks. I'm sure the irony is lost on you.
The guy's making a reference to something everyone knows about and everyone understands in order to make a point, and the first thing you do is put him in a box and assign values to him based on some tenuous and frankly ridiculous association you've made.
I think the irony is lost on you.
I'm not convinced that you understand what irony is.

If it's not part of conventional medicine, it's likely a crock of shit. Pharmaceutical companies wouldn't spend millions upon millions researching and creating new drugs if they only had to grow flowers in a field.
Do you know what the cure rate of alternative medicine is? 0.
Or they work to only put "band aids" on problems instead of trying to solve the root problem so as to keep customers for as long as possible. Pharmaceutical companies are corporations whose sole motivation is profit, not helping people.
I'm not defending alternative medicine at all, so I'm not sure why you're even arguing this point with me.

OMG I remember when the news came out. I had a couple of my computer literate friends over. Before I told them I literally started playing ding dong the witch is dead at full volume and danced. Of course they say "WTF is going on?", "STEVE JOBS IS DEAD!". "You serious!?" "YUP" Then they started dancing. He was a fucking asshole. Too bad he didn't die sooner.
Edit: I know this sounds like a made up internet story but I swear on my life this is true.

Why? Everyone loves it when an asshole dies. Are you sad that Hitler and Osama bin Laden are dead too? Steve jobs ran a company that put so much pressure on getting things built fast and cheap that people were leaping to their death at the factory. It only stopped because they installed nets to catch them.

Hey that's me
They were leaping to their deaths because the insurance payout was equal to many years of pay... They installed the nets first, but what really stopped it is that they cancelled the payouts. Migrant workers come from rural areas, a month's pay gets eaten up by expenses, rent, food, and also the entertainment that comes with living in the big city. Filial duty is huge in China, it's against the law to treat your parents badly. A big payout with your death is a super easy way out to appease your parents.
If you know anything about Chinese culture, then you would know that each and every one of the employees who you're getting told "worked too hard" is fighting for more hours. Pictures of people falling asleep on the factory line is some kind of proof that they're being overworked? How about.. go anywhere in China and see people sleeping on the job. Even the 1.5 hour lunch break where 30 minutes is spent eating and 1 hour is napping is pretty much a standard.
China has fantastic overtime laws and regulations. The new generation of employees will get in your face and complain and there are a lot of systems in place to help them accomplish this.
You think what? They were firing people for not agreeing to work overtime? Southern China is suffering from worker shortages even with throngs of people migrating to the major cities. Imagine a city, with a population larger than New York and Los Angeles combined, suffering from worker shortages. Workers in China change jobs like they change outfits.

When I ignore my daughter after repeated genetic tests saying she's mine, or run a company that cares so much about profit that factory workers jump to their death over working conditions. Ah yes, we've finally reached the final part of a shit comments lifespan, the "idc that I'm being downvoted/ the people downvoting me are jerks" phase. Every shitty comment ever contains this phase. Congrats, atombromoney or whatever, you make reddit what it is today. You glorious dumbass you.
Its just reddit man. Dont take ANYTHING said on here as a representative correct judgement of you or your character. Everyone on here could be faking who they are simply because its the Internet. The best tip i could give you on reddit is definitely look for bias before you judge ANYTHING. I used to be super conservative, but then i realized i hated the biased ideals of that side and just became my own political man. Its funny how people put so much time and effort into reddit when really the best thing to take away from it is the interactions between users and how to use those social techniques to be the best person you can.
And here we have the endcap to the shit reddit comment, the guy who consoles the dumbass commenter aka the "it's just reddit/reddit sux lol" phase. This is commonly refered to as the "final phase" of a dumbass comment. Where someone questions the righteousness of all the people downvoting. Usually followed by the author of the dumbass comment agreeing with him. There may also be further agreements from the second person as they become incresingly insecure about the number of commenters they are opposing. This has been Anatomy of A Dumbass Comment, I'm your host, handsome Costanza, have a reddit day!
No it doesn't get to me in anyway. I threw out an honest story with my honest opinion. Everyone has different opinions and for every person downvoting me there's at least one other person that agrees with me. Those other people unfortunately didn't see my post ;)
