I've actually never read any of your books although they have been popular for a while amongst contemporary literature, mainly because I want to read them in Japanese and they are hard to get that way here.
Do you know or like my country, Panama？ Just as I know your books by name for now, most people know this country by the Canal's name only. Do you know of or enjoy anything else from this country？

I have met jazz pianist Danilo Perez several times. He is a Panamanian and a wonderful pianist. He invited me to a famous Jazz Festival in Panama. And, of course, Mariano Rivera of New York Yankees is from Panama. A couple of Panamanian baseball players have played in Japan.

I hope you read my books in Japanese someday.
