Honestly, I don't think he would even if he wanted to. Florian and Ed go way back, and even if they aren't pals anymore, Ed would at least give Florian the creative freedom he deserves. Eternal Update was Florian's passion. Ed wouldn't take that away from him, even if the update is absolutely ridiculous.

I didn't say they weren't pals; I said "even if" just in case they weren't. I have no idea how close Florian and Ed are.

And I have nothing against Florian or his work. However, the update has been an incredibly divisive point of topic for the subreddit and maybe the Isaac community in general. Everyone is jumping the fence as if there is some great war going on, and it's as if everyone has to pick sides.

If you like the update, play it. If you don't like it, don't play it. Simple as that.

Burning basement looks cool as hell. I love the idea of having a harder version of each enemy with additional attacks. It's kind of like the eternal variants from Florian Hell Edition but without the ridiculous health boosts and bullet spam (I hope).

The part where he says it was disappointing that the lost was hacked and he was hoping it would take months to find... We had already figured out 3 of the deaths by that point. It was going to take us another 2-3 days max to figure it out organically.

It's definitely tiny planet + my reflection. I've had that before and it cause that weird interaction where they stop moving and just sit there. I'm more interested in the bolts of electricity on those tears.

Some of the tears are glowing blue - you can see arcs of electricity around those.

Looks like Tiny planet + My reflection + something that makes tears float, I think Anti-Gravity + a bunch of tear effects. I've seen something like that happen before. The glowing tears seem to be new, though.
