This story starts when the one active Mod( /u/Garwald ) or swagbucks subreddit gets a message from an inactive mod ( /u/facelessace ) saying that "Next Friday will be the last day that this sub will be live as it will be going down for a revamp and a new mod team is moving in. This gives you time to alert the current members of your move to a new sub run by you. Good luck. ".

When /u/Garwald gets this message he is confused and tries to talk with the previously inactive Mod /u/facelessace. While this is being done /u/Garwald also creates a new subreddit as a backup plan /r/SBs .

Also at this point in time the community began taking up for the only mod that many of them had ever had any experience with. This is where things really became interesting. As the community began becoming more toxic and upset with the possible removal of /u/Garwald they began more aggressive insults and and taking up for their Mod.

This is where /u/facelessace finally got fed up and went ahead and demodded and banned /u/Garwald. Once this happened the community became increasingly supportive and began spamming the sub with post of "Free Garwald". At one point there was about 10 post of Free Garwald on the front page of the sub.

At this point the /u/facelessace began banning users, removing posts, and deleting comments. This personally happened to a few of mine so I can personally confirm this part.

Since then users have accused /u/facelessace of doing all this to profit from the sub among other accusations. /u/facelessace has also shut down the previous sub where there can be no new threads started.

He then posted this thread claiming that he shut the sub down due to the spread of misinformation. He also says that we should stay tuned for his arguments and reasoning over the next few days.

He also has said that he doesn't really care what happens to the sub and this is what is going to happen even if it takes a year and means we all unsub. I believe that these are most of the details but if I missed anything let me know!

And... He just set the sub to private! Lol...

When the /r/wow mod did that, the Reddit mods stepped in and took it away from him.

I wonder if this has now gone far enough that the Reddit mods could consider getting involved.

yep, the admins can be contacted now since him making the sub private caused us to lose access to our posts and comments in there, which falls under the 5th reddit rule.

yeah thats what I was reading too, that's not 5th reddit rule

[–]nter 0 ポイント1 ポイント  (2子コメント)

huh, how is it not? it's the 5th one if you count each rule.

It seems to be specifically related to breaking the site in some manner with bad code etc

not just code, http://redd.it/2mj2ue is an example.
