I'm from Michigan and on probation for my first OWI. On 2/3 I had a positive urine test done by EIA for opiates with a 300 ng cut off. I was not informed of this positive until 4/17 (the third probation meeting since the positive) by my PO. She says I will most likely go to jail for it unless I get it figured out. I asked the testing place to do a GCMS on it and it came back as 105 ng of morphine. The only way I knew how to prove I wasn't doing any drugs was to get a hair test done. My hair test was collected 4/23 and came back negative for every type of opiate which had a 10 ng cutoff. For some reason I still have to go to court.

I tested positive because my dumbass had everything bagels almost every morning for months without realizing they had poppy seeds and I do my testing about 90 minutes after I eat these. The messed up thing is I was only supposed to be doing ETG testing so they never told me what medicines and such I shouldn't be taking. I have one receipt showing that I do actually buy everything bagels but it's only on 4/4 because they didn't notify me for so long. Should I be worried at all or do I have a pretty good case? I also have completed every other part of probation and this is the only hiccup I have 5 months into my 12 month sentence. Anything would be appreciated!
