The riots are a product of a ruined city? So black people have zero agency, and merely react violently to tough times as a sort of automatic reflex? Really consider the position you're taking.

How about you stop putting words in my mouth and deciding my position for me?

I didn't bring race into it. People react violently if you put them undr enough pressure and give them nothing to lose. No job, no future, no stability and nothing to lose.

I'm not putting anything in your mouth. You described the riots, which are almost exclusively black participants, as a product with a cause. You've removed agency from all those people. You've exonerated them on some invented bullshit mechanism you hope exists to appease your world-view. This is a bullshit theory from a bullshit artist. People are responsible for their actions, and the people choosing to be criminals don't get to hide behind some abstract notion of poverty. It's fucking disgusting to see you anti-intellectuals spew this garbage at every turn.

Anti-intellectual is such a nice phrase for someone who disagrees with you. So, are you saying that social factors have nothing to do with riots? Or that riots don't have causes? I've lived in places where people have been pushed to breaking point and snapped out. It's not made up to appease my world view, it's a world view based upon my personal experiences.

This is an empirical question. We can simply review the riots in recent years and look for answers. As it turns, no, social factors don't reliably predict riots, not in this country/society. Sporting events are a far more robust predictor. Does your sports team winning or losing also cause a riot? Obviously not. Does it justify it? That's a personal evaluation, and one I wouldn't hold out much hope for someone like you to bother with either consistency or having a functional moral compass.

I've lived in places where people have been pushed to breaking point and snapped out.

No one gives a shit what you've experienced, it doesn't dictate large scale claims regarding human behavior, so spare me your anecdotal anti-intellectual bullshit.

It's not made up to appease my world view, it's a world view based upon my personal experiences.

And one that does not reflect reality. If you care to cower behind "well, I think that ..." be my guest. But when you claim causes and products, you're making concrete claims about the world. And you're wrong. I also think it's morally disgusting to exonerate criminals and thugs due to hard times that the non-criminal looters are also facing. But I'm sure you have no shortage of traits I would reprehensible. We're just scratching the surface.

Don't know what's funnier -- the childish intentional misinterpretations, your caustic bigotry and desire to shoehorn race into everything, or just your irrational, unfocused and unhinged rage.
