This is an empirical question. We can simply review the riots in recent years and look for answers. As it turns, no, social factors don't reliably predict riots, not in this country/society. Sporting events are a far more robust predictor. Does your sports team winning or losing also cause a riot? Obviously not. Does it justify it? That's a personal evaluation, and one I wouldn't hold out much hope for someone like you to bother with either consistency or having a functional moral compass.

And one that does not reflect reality. If you care to cower behind "well, I think that ..." be my guest. But when you claim causes and products, you're making concrete claims about the world. And you're wrong. I also think it's morally disgusting to exonerate criminals and thugs due to hard times that the non-criminal looters are also facing.
