Steve Irwin loved animals, and he was always adamant about conservation. I dont want to write an essay, but im just saddened that Irwins work and history have been crushed into a fetid reddit-Sized bite.

I hate to be that asshole but Steve himself preceded many of his segments, and almost all of his most popular bits, by saying something along the lines of "never ever do this thing that I'm about to do."

He was, in many ways, a professional stunt-man. He did dumb shit for money. I'll not piss on him for that any more than I would a rodeo clown or a wolverine juggler.

But that doesn't justify anything. It just shows that he was one of few people who managed to understand the risks that he was taking, and do it anyway.

To be completely fair, Steve Irwin was a great conservationist but he kind of a racist douche.
