By focusing on the dramatic threads, this could give a slightly skewed view of the prevailing mood in /r/leagueoflegends. So for clarity, the prevailing mood is that Richard Lewis is a massive gaping arsehole and that he should fuck off and never come back. I'm paraphrasing somewhat, but you get the idea.

Someone told me that Riot is influencing the admins to leave this alone, then called me dense because I didn't believe him while asking for a source. Richard Lewis blocked me on twitter for telling him what an IP ban is. I'm getting burned by the butter.

IE imagine a game publisher giving a game reviewer something valuable (his game, a console etc.) and then just saying "oh this is just to show some good faith".

This annoys me. Of course publishers shouldn't be giving reviewers consoles or any of that shit. But giving a reviewer a review copy is perhaps the shittiest of things to whine about. Games don't get reviewed on quality sites where the publisher or developer didn't send a review copy. It just doesn't happen.

There's no "this is just to show some good faith" bullshit about it, either.

This thing exploded way too fast. We basically went from 'mods suck' to 'mods are Riot puppets' with nothing in between. Nobody has even implied the answer to the question of what is there for Riot to gain? League of Legends is a pretty established game... you don't go to /r/leagueoflegends to read reviews about the game so they're not out to hide criticism. Any existing issues with the game are pretty well in full view... if I'm having bad ping or lag, or if Katarina is a no-skill-pentawhore, it doesn't disappear because Morello sent a mod a box of twinkies to delete the 19th post about east coast servers.

Maybe I'm new to the world, but generally conspiracies exist to hide something that matters to someone. Not to censor whiny people on an internet forum because ??? I'm a little sad, I think these addled brains could come up with some great reasons for censorship.

While I understand and accept admin decision regarding this story, I would still prefer them to monitor mod team closely. Riot does have history of shitty employees doing shady shit so some caution won't be amiss.
