The game has a ton of flaws.

I'm praising it for the fact that for an early PS2 game it took it's limitations and did the best it could with it, creating a tight experience that I'll remember forever.

The game isn't perfect, it's amazing. Truly a work of art next to games like Castlevania for the NES, Megaman X for the Snes, Dark Souls, Mario World for the Snes, Resident Evil 4, Half-Life, and so many others.

Nothing is perfect. But for an old PS2 game to still be better then any RPG out there, yes any rpg out there, they have had to do some things way right and they did.

I'm trying to explain how they took what you call automatic bad design and actually used it to create something instense, but you just won't have it. It's bad, it can not possibly be used in a good way, bad things can not possibly ever be used well.

You must be the type of person who thinks Aria of Sorrows is better then Castlevania1 because your whip has a delay in Castlevania1, missing the fact that that's the whole point and makes the game to this day still an amazingly deep game. But no, clunky whip controls, bad game.

Fine. Have fun with Aria of Sorrow. I heard it got a 9.5 on some site.

Limitations? So again spinning a negative into a positive.

Yeah, why not just complain that I can't put on a helmet and go into the world of dark souls. Or that I still have to turn on a monitor. Everything has limitations. Do you just skim stuff and pick random words to say something about or do you actually think about anything?

My god, ok, now I have to be done. For my own sake. This is just going nowhere.

Because a monitor to play Dark Souls is central to that gamrthe same way the random battle mechanic is central to Nocturne.

You seriously think random battles in a game with gameplay that pretty much revolves around random battles and bosses is comparable to monitor usage for Dark Souls?

Wait you actually think random battles are a limitation of the PS2?

Also random words? I picked those words out because you somehow think uneven difficulty is a good thing and a great design choice. When you use a high encounter rate as justification for it and then use how the game is filled with walking as a justification for that.

I mean really? A flawed mechanic to mask another flawed mechanic to mask yet another flawed mechanic and you think this is still perfect?

Clearly delusional then.
