And the liberals will say the same thing when facebook did this.

"They're a private business, they have the right to refuse service to whomever they like"

Where refusing to serve someone based on 3000 year old values isn't good enough to deny service as a private business and becomes discrimination.

You can be denied based on 3000 year old values. It just depends on which side of those values you sit.

They can't have it both ways. They can't demand a bakery serve a gay couple but complain when a business censors them as trampling on their rights. Facebook, Twitter, etc is the medium. You don't pay for their service so deal. Welcome to capitalism.

Liberals can have everything every way. Conservatives can have nothing any way.

It appears that shadow banning in in full effect on Twitter.

I've pretty much stopped using it except for when I'm watching Arrow or The Flash and talking with other fans.

The place is a cesspool.

Another reason I never use Twitter. The main reason being, it's 140 characters of useless.

[–]hayclaylaybaymaysay 6 ポイント7 ポイント  (0子コメント)

Well, the main reason is because it's fucking stupid and childish. But I see your point.

How can you tell if you are shadowbanned?

[–]amplib[S] 5 ポイント6 ポイント  (1子コメント)

You can't retweet articles from outside Twitter, you can't respond to anyone, you can't comment on a tweet. You can still put a tweet - with no @ on your own timeline. Everytime you try to do it, you get a message like http://imgur.com/MikfdFW - even if the Tweet is harmless like that. It's more SJW chaos.

Ah ok. Thanks! ill be on the look out for that.

Here is my question.... why the hell use Twitter anyway?

[–]amplib[S] 4 ポイント5 ポイント  (1子コメント)

I am not all that involved in it but I do see trends and feel like it is an indicator of what is being said out there - good and (mostly) bad.

[–]lo_there 4 ポイント5 ポイント  (0子コメント)

It's just an echo chamber, I mean....I guess the same could be said about reddit, but at least you can have a real discussion on here.

All part of the Democrat plan.

Try quitter.se? Should be far less censored.

Edit: No idea why downvotes are coming, quitter = similar to twitter but decentralized so you can't censor it. You guys should give it a try.

You realize that's not the point, right? That's like saying since you can't skywrite, here's a post-it note to get your message out. Totally the same............./S

Twitter, as stupid as it is, commands a large percentage of the social media network. Which is integral to getting messages out to the population at large and helping to crystallize political stances and opinions. When people are prejudicially silenced on these places, the role of the "Twitter" people go from admin of free discussion boards to active agents in silencing political opposition.

Free speech only matters when it's speech they agree with...........then oh all of a sudden they're a 'private corporation'. It's the same cop-out excuse that Jon Stewart does when he consistently makes negative political commentary towards conservatives with his political "stories" (aka: hatchet jobs) to his KNOWNINGLY huge audience, then when people cry foul he backs up and starts with his "oh hey! I'm just a COMEDIAN here! Not a journalist!" excuse.
