This is why I hate this sub so much, sometimes. We can't have an open discourse on racial issues in dating without berating OP, or anyone else that contradicts herd mentality. That behavior is so toxic.

Just because something doesn't apply to you and/or is inconvenient to talk about doesn't mean it's any less important to bring up.

People are more concerned with OP's outrage after posting some comments and reaction-threads that were (rightly) downvoted into the ground than they are about the race issues.

The issue identified here is appalling, yes. Will anything come of posting a bitter angry thread about it? ...Maybe?

Context and framing are massively important.

Look at the other post they made. I don't trust their intentions, and it poisons the post.

I'm not inclined to trace the breadcrumbs, can you just give me the tl;dr?

[–]Maladjust--Rating: 100% 1 ポイント2 ポイント  (1子コメント)

OP is trying to pull an "AHA! Racism!" while laying everything at the feet of racial divides. It's the shitty Indian dude that caused the drama last week mk II.

Also, the trolling aspect was claiming that a white dude messaging a woman is, in fact, throwing her a bone.

[–]lifestopped 0 ポイント1 ポイント  (0子コメント)

Yeah, that was what lost me forever.

My favorite part of this narrative is that you had to commit to the terribly onerous task of creating a new reddit account, because the message can't be stopped.

Wait, why isn't that thread from yesterday on SRD?

[–]Maladjust--Rating: 100% 1 ポイント2 ポイント  (4子コメント)

Which one?

Nothing in the last few days has been enough to get linked there probably.

Bleh man, I don't fucking know. At this point in my life, I've gone through so much and seen so much racist bullshit that I pretty much have a completely defeatist attitude towards the issue. I don't think it will ever change. People will forever be racist as fuck and there isn't much you can do about it. I don't even know if pointing it out solves anything anymore. People just don't give a shit, and if they won't laugh and make jokes in public then they'll do it in behind closed doors or wherever they think that type of behavior is acceptable.

Last night I'm cleaning out the ambulance and there's a black lady outside the hospital screaming and crying because she has 3 months to live and has no hair and is completely gaunt from cancer. A white cop comes over and starts shouting at her to leave the premises. She's just crying and everyone's looking because it's a big scene. The cop finally gets her to leave and then he looks at me and says with a straight face 'fucking black women...' and shakes his head as he walks off. This is after Ferguson, with that Walter Scott guy getting capped in the back all over the news. Everything. Doesn't matter to him. I'm not even white and he thinks its okay to say something like that to me. But what am I going to do? The guy's a fucking cop.

People suck man.

Interesting. You're a paramedic? In uniform?

If that's the case, maybe cop saw you more as 'non-civilian' than your race.

This is fun about people to me. Figuring out their reality.

I misread this. This guy started in the image post about the white guy throwing a bone to black women by messaging them. The other stuff is linked in the post.

I think the white chick one blew up because she was a super, super pretty mathematician or something? Forgot her career.

      But she was incredibly pretty

You don't see white women blowing up the recent success story even though the guy was pretty good looking

Eh, he was nothing special at all. There are also far less women on this site, of all races, and women care less about looks.

Your assumption that only white men upvoted that previous post is racist and wrong.
