Inherently, from that definition no.No, having a conversation for actions that are questionable is reasonable.

The general use of the word "apologist" in the modern era is like the above example of an apologist of facism, or in this case making up reasons why a car that hits another car, then scrapes another car, doesn't just lock the doors and call the police, but instead smashes into ANOTHER CAR, THEN pulls back HITS THE SAME CAR AGAIN then "pulls somewhere safe".

Apologist implies negative connotations about the person because they're defending something or someone by (often, and in this case) blaming the victims.

Nevermind we didn't see what happened before the video started which must've been some crazy shit because the guy started recording, I'm assuming they already hit someones car THEN too. So after hitting two cars, I'd be pissed too.

OH AND MOST IMPORTANTLY OF ALL

THEY DIDN'T FUCKING BANG ON THE WINDOW EVEN AFTER THE PERSON HIT THE FIRST CAR ON THE VIDEO. THEY JUST STOOD BACK AND YELLED.

THEY DIDN'T TOUCH THE VAN.

SO YOUR ENTIRE ARGUMENT IS BULLSHIT BECAUSE BASED ON THE FACT THAT YOU'RE SCARED OF BLACK PEOPLE.

First car hit could be due to the driver accidently pressing the wrong pedal. Then the driver had somebody start screaming like a lunatic and run to their driver side door. That could've induced enough panic to put the driver into a state of fight or flight. The fact that the driver stopped moving once they were away from the screaming, aggressive attackers supports that notion.

Really, because most people don't get "scared into fight or flight" enough to scrape your van against a car, fly across the lot, hit a car, back up HIT THE SAME CAR then pull over to the exit by people standing near the car yelling at them not even touching the car because of YOUR made up reason of

"pulled out of the car and beat up (and possibly killed)"

Nevermind you could just LOCK YOUR DOORS and that couldn't happen, but sure.

The driver was CLEARLY drunk or otherwise intoxicated by their actions at the very least you have to give that much.

Sorry, I ignored one of your questions and I just realized it.

There could've been a verbal disagreement, or somebody might've been threatening the driver by telling them to "get da fuk outta here bitch ass white boy, ima stomp yo ass if you dont get da fuk up outta here in fo seconds.", or it could've been the driver was driving very strangely due to a medical condition (which then the screaming people could've amplified).

Why would they fear for their life? Because they hit a car and someone is yelling at them?

I put myself in the driver's shoes. I hit a car, now my brain is scrambling, what do I do, which route do I take contacting my insurance, should I call the cops. If I'm in a new area, it looks ghetto (and it is, as OP has stated in response to one of my comments), and someone starts acting like a maniac and running over to my car window so I can hear their screaming louder, I can totally see myself fearing for my life and fleeing.

So you're saying that these people were going to break the windows of the car, drag the person out of the window and beat them.

I said it could happen.

Even though they didn't even touch the car.

Just because they didn't immediately start breaking the driver's window doesn't mean they weren't going to. If they had calmly walked over to the driver's car and asked for their driver's license, that would change my perspective.

What would you have done, had you been the owner of that car that was hit?

That's some racist-ass bullshit. So because they're black they have to speak like that? Oh and because they got told to leave they drove like an idiot and slammed into cars four times?

See the thing is - they didn't. Everyone would understand the person being panicked, if the people yelling actually damaged the car in any way, but they didn't.

Both these quotes? This is why people spit out the word apologist like an insult. You're making wild excuses for the driver, blaming the victims, and making hypotheticals as excuses that weren't even close to playing out as excuses for the guilty party.

The same thing that black lady did, yelled at the driver through the window because the fucker sped and slammed into it. I'd probably yell "WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM?"

There's very few people who would be able to be calm in that situation, especially with the force the idiot slammed into the car.

Nevermind you still haven't explained how "fight or flight" made them hit the second car ONCE, nevermind TWICE. Driver was either crazy, or on drugs.
