“It’s science!” is about the most unradical thing you can say.
Every science arises from the root systems of violent power in this world. That’s where they all first came from. They were all populated at first by white cisgender straight nondisabled men, who consistently acted on their violent and dehumanizing viewpoints taught to them by the same systems that gave them huge social capital. They built these fields of “knowledge” and they populated it with all manner of violent wrongness
Nothing good can grow from diseased soil.
You can’t cry patriarchy and flip around to cry science next. Science is patriarchy. Science is a tool of systemic violence. To this day it remains so.
