It's not that you were insinuating that DC did something better. You are straight up criticizing a Marvel show for no other reason than it being a Marvel show. Saying the Flash wore red better, talking about a reference to the MCU like it's a stupid thing. You can hate Marvel if you want, but I for one wouldn't go to an Arrow discussion thread just to say "Oh geez, I wish this show was as good as Daredevil." I am an avid watcher of Arrow, Flash, Constantine, Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter, and Daredevil. I follow Teen Titans and Howard the Duck comics. It is possible to love both companies believe it or not. If you don't I don't care, but don't come over to a DAREDEVIL discussion thread and hate on it, then claim that you're the victim.

Just go over to the Arrow subreddit. They actually have a few posts about how much they like this show. You say we have a simple fanbase. I say you have a simple mind.

The idea that the Daredevil writers were actually paying any attention to Arrow at all, let alone which Russian names Arrow used, is laughable. Arrow is a great show, most of us here probably watch it too, but you're really reaching. It's literally more effort for the writers of this show to copy Arrow than it is for them to just Google 'Russian first names', so trying to accuse them of being lazy by copying is just insane.

As far as Batman stories, well, the producers already admitted the show was going for a Dark Knight aesthetic from the start. They've taken themes from Batman the whole way through - from the 'billionaire playboy' thing to the teenage sidekick, to the idea of public opinion turning against the vigilante hero, to the dead parents/emotionally crippled hero, etc etc. I love Arrow, but there's no denying Oliver Queen is just Bruce Wayne on a TV budget.
