I got The Witcher a few days ago off GOG. I got theses wallpapers and calender as extras for my purchase. (imgur.com)

If girls choose to do a nude or semi-nude calender then that's their choice and people shouldn't slut-shame them for expressing their sexuality and being happy with their naked bodies right?

So if someone draws a series of witches doing a nude calender isn't it just the characters expressing their sexuality? Don't slut-shame the characters.

Or maybe it's just a clever joke using the witches from the game in a nudie calender seeing as calenders wouldn't be anything like that in the time setting for the game.

Or maybe it's a marketing ploy to use any kind of controversy this calender may cause to draw more people into the game.

One thing is clear, it's not evidence of oppression against women in video games.

Except, she does make up a LOT of it. A LOT of her content is cherry picked and embellished and is not at all representative of the game. Yeah, sometimes she has a point, but it's very very rare.

Do I see these images as sexist? Not really, no. Do I think anyone should be upset that someone drew a picture of a naked lady? Not at all. Do I think someone getting upset at these pictures needs to grow the fuck up? Abso-fucking-lutely.

Well, to be fair, the mechanic of (part of) the game is literally to sleep with women to earn a trophy for sleeping with them. It actually is very sexist.

Is it much different than women's romance novels? No. But there you go.
