He was probably referring to Rev Jeremiah Wright's sermons that he didn't not hear while he was wasn't not attending his church.

Obama and far left compatriots view Christianity as the sole hard opposition to gay marriage and other gay causes in this country. This is where the friction lies. The thing that is really unfathomable, is he makes excuse after excuse after excuse for jihadist Muslims who are even more intolerant than American Christians with regard to homosexuals. Where the vast vast majority of American Christians use protest and voting to oppose gay activism, jihadist Muslims just execute homosexuals. Obama criticizes American Christians and overlooks jihadist Muslims.

The only way this behavior by the left and this president will change is if this country gets overrun with jihadist Muslims to the point where it is obvious to all they are the ones opposing first world gay activists in America.

  • “On Easter, I do reflect on the fact that, as a Christian, I am supposed to love,” the president said during the breakfast at the White House. “And I have to say that, sometimes when I listen to other less-than-loving expressions by Christians, I get concerned. that’s a topic for another day”

how is this scolding?

Notice how on one of the two most important Christian holidays, he finds time to mention how Christians are 'less than loving' - but when Muslim terrorists murder thousands, he can't seem to bring himself (on a Muslim holiday or not) to mention that Muslims are 'less than loving'?

How is it not?

"Hey, on this holiday, I want to slip in a reminder that some of you are assholes. Kthxbai."

It's like if you've ever had a passive-aggressive boy/girlfriend, and they say something like, "you can be a real jerk, but that's a topic for another day." It's rude, dismissive and unnecessary, and like half his comments on Christianity, it is completely beneath the office he holds.

Scolding: angrily rebuking or reprimanding.

reprimanding

[–]razeal113 0 ポイント1 ポイント  (0子コメント)

ah yes , i missed all the anger that was dripping fourth in that statement ... you know since the definition is to angrily reprimand

You must consider that Mr. Obama has a pattern of criticizing Christians while failing to criticize Muslims.

Recently there was also the issue of the prayer breakfast.

which has anything to do with my question how?

[–]IBiteYou 1 ポイント2 ポイント  (3子コメント)

It very much deals with your question.

Obama has recently taken to criticizing Christians, while failing to similarly criticize people in any other religious group.

His statement can be taken as nothing other than scolding Christians.

First the definition of scolding is to ANGRILY REPRIMAND... yes his statement is dripping with anger. Passive aggressive perhaps but that would be where the definitional line would be drawn.

Obama has recently taken to criticizing Christians, while failing to similarly criticize people in any other religious group.

So if we bomb a certain group for over ten years and then make a passive aggressive statement about another group the former is getting off easy, or is somehow getting a pass, and its only fair after we add comments as well as bombs to the first group?

Another definition is "to find fault."

I think he qualifies as scolding... and can be considered "a scold" since he is developing a pattern of repeatedly finding fault.

Your last statement is a strawman.

ah you must have looked here where the definition is

  • to find fault with angrily

and just forgot the last part to try and fit your argument; dont worry fixed it for you

Your last statement is a strawman.

if by that you mean exactly what has been going on in the last ~10 years then sure

He definitely has a point. Especially when it comes to American Christians.

[–]keypuncher -1 ポイント0 ポイント  (0子コメント)

Yep - because in the parts of the world where his Muslim buddies are in charge, the Christians are too busy being kidnapped and executed to be 'less than loving.'
