Glad people on tumblr are doing their part with finding every glimmer of kindness and happiness on this website and promptly covering it in toxicity… Seriously, why do people do this, you shouldn’t do this. 

It isn’t ‘kind’ to encourage feeble-minded assholes to retreat into fantasy instead of dealing with life. It’s obnoxious and diseased. People do a lot of damage to themselves and the world because it’s easier to romanticize yourself than to grow the fuck up. Every problem in the universe, from populations eating up global resources for profit, to our country’s silly habit of starting never-ending wars, to meninism, to racism, to literally anything you can think of, is a direct result of self-romance. Choosing reality over an adolescent vision of yourself as much better than you actually are is what it means to be human. And you are, in fact, a totally ordinary human, just exactly like everyone else, I promise. It’s much more fun to be a rational human being than to find yourself tying a blanket around your neck and pretending to be a superhero – for yourself! because you can’t handle life! – when you’re forty. Also, mind your own fucking business. I owe your pansy ass nothing, and neither does anyone else. Maybe if you hadn’t been spending all your free time pretending to be Harry Potter, you’d be able to handle criticism like an adult.
