Dear Parasite, you live in this country and take advantage everyday of all the wonderful services, infrastructure, and goods government provides. PAY YOUR GOD DAM TAXES!

How about we make a deal, in line with this whole shared sacrifice/social contract thing you people love so much.

We will pay our taxes, in order to contribute to civilized society, if government upholds it's half of the bargain, and uses said money to advance and contribute positively to society

Here's the thing. I have to earn my money. So do you. In order to obtain funds, I need to do what is asked of me by the person paying me. I work on airplanes for a living. My pay is solely hinged on me, for example, getting jobs completed on time, or not damaging an aircraft. And I would suppose your job is also similar. Your pay is dependent on doing what your employer is paying you for.

So why is it that the government is the only entity that gets to be exempt from this basic law and understanding of finance and economics?

You are thinking of the government as its own entity, which is very silly. A government is a partnership of all the citizens which make up its constituency. If you wanted to pool money together with your neighbors to, say, renovate a local public space and you created an organization to manage that money, you wouldn't make it earn the funds. That would be silly.

A government is a partnership of all the citizens which make up its constituency.

No, it is the partnership of winners of a popularity contest, usually decided by who has the most money and the most hateful rhetoric toward the opposition. The unlucky folks who didn't win have no say in this partnership

you wouldn't make it earn the funds

Yes you would. If the fund raised was FOR renovation of the space in question and they blew it on guns to kill someone, then yeah, I'd say there would be a giant issue there.

Having said that, your neighbors analogy does not even really fit with how the government actually works. The government at this point is almost completely autonomous. The only link it has the the public are votes, and tax money. That is the public's role in the political process.

Like, I said, the purpose of taxation is to improve society. IF the government isn't going to do that, then why should we pay them for carrying out that service?

That's more of an argument to change the management or control structure than to get rid of the government entirely. If that organization blows a ton of money the public works project isn't suddenly a bad idea.

If they do it repeatedly, and the structure and method of government prevents any check or balance to it, then yes, it's broken

[–]Shot_With_A_Diamond -2 ポイント-1 ポイント  (4子コメント)

It's still not an argument against government entirely and no government is immune from checks and balances. Some of the most powerful dictators in human history were toppled in short order. Reforming a democracy is more a matter of taking the time and energy to do it.

There are governments imune to checks and balances. The united states is one of them.

You do know even TALKING out of government-sactioned turn will and you in prison right?

This system was created in 1776. It's needs an extreme, ground up overhaul

[–]Shot_With_A_Diamond 0 ポイント1 ポイント  (2子コメント)

You just said it was immune but then called for an overhaul. Your beliefs don't seem very consistent or well thought-out. You just seem to have a generic anti-government rhetoric without much substance behind it.

Yes, this system is immune to check and balances. We need to overhaul it with a system of checks and balances.

Sorry if you couldn't grasp that statement. I can't make it any more clear.

Lol. Tell that to a cop the next time he arrests you for a plant.

"But officer, I am the governnent! Please don't destroy my life!"

[–]Shot_With_A_Diamond 0 ポイント1 ポイント  (10子コメント)

That's completely incoherent. Making the rules doesn't make you immune from the rules.

Are seriously suggesting cops live by the same rules as us? Lol

[–]Shot_With_A_Diamond 1 ポイント2 ポイント  (8子コメント)

No, I'm not. I don't understand how you could possibly come to think I was saying that.

Your rambled and incoherent sentence suggested that.

[–]Shot_With_A_Diamond 1 ポイント2 ポイント  (6子コメント)

No it didn't.

Then please explain
