Freedom is the right to choose our own path, our own destiny, be it a person or whole nation.  Mr. Hernandez completed this card in prison, but he has since been released back to Cuba in a prisoner exchange.

Rabbi Erwin Schild Freedom means to have the choice to participate in society: to lead, to devote, or to withdraw and be left alone.  Freedom is contingent on everone else enjoying the same opportunities.  The induvual is free only in a free societry governered by rules that protect, enhahance and promote freedom for all. Growing up in Nazi Germany, I experiences the very opposite of freedom and learned to tresure life in a free society and to stand on guard for freedom.
