Wouldn't it be terrible if people judged you for alocholism like how you judge others over in /r/fatpeoplehate

If I fatty decided to go on a diet, or start working out at the gym, they should and would get the same support. The support is to help someone change for the better. It doesn't matter whether it is booze, drugs, fatty foods, inactive lifestyle, or maybe going back to school. It's not about the what, its about the quest for self improvement.

Sounds as if you haven't been to /r/fatpeoplehate - it's just about hate, being reasonable will get you banned for breaking the circlejerk.

That's why I don't like a lot of the shit on /r/Fatpeoplehate. I've seen more than a few posts mocking fat people at the gym, or that have made progress, but not 'fast enough'.

People mocking fat people who are trying to make a difference in their lives have fallen from Brodin's grace.

Also, Big Macs aren't quite as addictive as alcohol or heroin, so it can be harder to sympathize.

You would be surprised how similar the addiction to junk food is. While it may not manifest the same physical symptoms your body has learned to rely on fatty/sugary foods for endorphins and so you can experience extreme depression.

I'd argue more addictive! Heroin withdrawals are only uncomfortable. Food withdrawals will eventually kill you!

/r/fatpeoplehate does not support fat people getting fit, not in the slightest.

People can judge me, or did you miss my user name?

[–]swolemedic 3 ポイント4 ポイント  (0子コメント)

As an iv drug user I can attest to the god awful way people treat addicts. People often assume you're the scum of the earth and are going to kill their newborn for a fix.

For example I went to the hospital due to an infection in one of my sites I would inject and got treated like dirt until one of the nurses recognized me. I went to nursing school and she knew I was a paramedic. Suddenly people got nice to me, I hope it's because they realized we're people, too.

Assuming people don't give alcoholics shit?

[–]ConradSchu 0 ポイント1 ポイント  (0子コメント)

Didn't say they don't, but that's not the point here.

I support your struggle with fattyism!

Ah, I wanted to feel good about this guy for accepting he has an alcohol problem, but then I read his history and realized alcohol isn't his only problem.

OMG.... I've never seen that sub before. I can't believe how fucking horrible and just fucking mean it is...

[–]Ilikekittensyay -1 ポイント0 ポイント  (0子コメント)

It's funny though because most fat people are addicted to food much how alcoholics are addicted to alcohol.
