slavery in the United States was 100% done by white people though so every white person alive right now benefits from it even if they didn’t actively support it. im sure the majority of white people today wouldn’t support slavery, but they still need to be aware of the fact that they benefit from its effects. you’re making a logical fallacy by saying that because other places had slaves, somehow slavery in the us was any less of a thing. this is not the case

actually that is not true! african slave trade was a result of imperialism moving into africa, with african leaders being forced into the trading of their own people to survive. any african that took part in the selling of slaves for the sake of expansion did so because the portuguese created a new class through forced breeding which was not indicative of actual african ideals or traditions. any existing slaves there were not kept for exploitation like the ones in america’s history were, but rather because they were victims of tribal wars. comparing us, a society that was at the time much more socially advanced, to them, and then putting us another 300 years forward and saying that because they did it we can do is a ridiculous notion to have
