I don't like Yoga and would not like being forced to do this. You want me to stretch? Fine. But don't pretend Yoga is just another form of stretching in the same way that Taichi is another form of stretching. Neither are, or were never meant to be just about stretching.

I've done yoga several times while I was in China. And it was just another form of exercise......really.. It was like any other group workout activity. But with yoga pants.

Coming from an avid yogi, this is not entirely correct. Yoga in it's purity is not just another form of exercise, it is a deeply spiritual experience - BUT I would also say that the vast majority of people who practice yoga are not doing it for the spiritual aspect, and certainly not in the United States. I've never been to a yoga class, whether it be in a gym or a designated yoga studio, which focused more on the spirituality than the exercise or tried to push the spiritual aspect on the practicers - unless that is what the class was advertised for.

I've always disagreed with "its". Why can't things be possessive? Whereas "Nulono's" would mean "belonging to Nulono", I would think yoga could also possess things. Seems rather arbitrary like many things in the English language.

So when you're at a meal and you've got a glass of wine and a dinner roll on the table in front of you, do you accuse people of trying to trick you into doing Communion?

Because that is literally how ridiculous you're being here.

No, but I wouldn't want to waste my time and pose for 50 minutes with the tax payers money when I can be doing something much more productive.

Something more productive. Like dodgeball. Or that giant parachute thingy.

I suppose that depends on the person teaching the class and how it relates to each individual. I used to teach a yoga class... I'm also an atheist. It was all about fitness for me.

You have angered the hivemind, now you must pay!

Let's see how happy everyone here is when kids in the bible belt schools have to do 'Christ Stretching:' You kneel on a special mat, and put your palms togehter in front of your chest. Now stay that way for twenty minutes... it helps limber up all your ligaments!

Oh but it's totally NOT religious.
