drag queens are literally putting on a “woman” costume. we are not a costume. we are not wigs and heavy makeup and sparkly dresses and heels. we are real, breathing people. some drag queens have really misogynist names and talk/act like a caricature of femininity. 

drag queens get to go home, take off their costume, and go back into the world as men with male privilege. real women do not.
