Basically, a bunch of radical Christian fundamentalists sent a fossil sample to the University of Georgia for carbon-dating. The lab ran the test, and sent the results back. The Christian fundamentalists started prancing around about how they found a dinosaur fossil that fits their young earth beliefs, and used the paperwork from the lab as proof. While the lab did test the fossil's roughly estimated age, it did not confirm whether the fossil is a dinosaur fossil, so... Draw your own conclusions there.

The lab found out that this group was invoking their name (and thus reputation) and refused to test any more samples for them. So clearly there is a massive conspiracy among the scientific community to shut down "well-meaning" and "genuine" "debate" when "facts" support the fundamentalists.

Racial and most cultural differences deserve to be tolerated.

Multicultural is a buzzword that usually indicates that the diversity of the group, or whatever is being described as "multicultural", is only skin-deep. Meaning, there is a token black, Asian, etc. but there isn't really ideological diversity, intellectual diversity, or some of the more important aspects of diversity.

The Demtard ("Democrat") Party is an example. Their diversity is only skin-deep, since they do not have ideological diversity. They are full of liberals and left-leaning moderates, and fail to attract personal & fiscal libertarians, or conservatives.

Public research universities are another example. How many professors and masters/Ph.D. students are libtard, compared to moderate or conservative or Libertarian. But all you see them promote is that there are black professors/students! Hispanic professors/students! Nothing about being fair to different ideologies.

From the studies i checked (sources below) it seems about 63% of professors are liberal...and 93% are white/asian. From those numbers it seems clear where the imbalance lies so it seems like a non starter to argue you need token conservatives when something like 1 in 8 identify as conservative and 1 in 33 are hispanic or 1 in 25 are black. It is never expected the numbers will be equal btw. that would require a homogenous population which we don't have.

Also, lets say public research universities decide try and recruit conservatives. Everyone would simply claim to be conservative, or libertarian, or moderate...there isn't exactly a way to check it since science and engineering classes don't have politics discussions so you couldn't base it on curriculum. So how would you propose they even implemented such a plan?

Race is absolutely relevant because unlike ideology, it is not a choice, and also unlike ideology, race places a person in the minority. They need representation and they need a helping hand to achieve success because both in the past in the present, society places them at a disadvantage, unlike ideology.

Conservatives and their lesser cousins, Libertarians, are not in the minority. The fiscal beliefs of Conservatives and the social beliefs of Libertarians are well represented in this country, and for the conservatives at least, have existed in strength since the founding of this country. Their strength and influence has always existed thus their ability to influence academia has always existed (including several universities that invite students of these ideologies, as well as compatible religious views). Thus if their ideologies do not exist in academia as a whole, it's because of unwillingness, not incapability to do so.

You see, there are Conservatives out there that are more practical and more intelligent than you that understand the reality of this. Either they have chosen a practical strategy, such as influencing the Texas Board of Education and their methods of choosing textbooks (which are used by public schools across the country) or cutting funding from public schools and providing parents' options for their children to attend more ideologically inclined private schools as opposed to public schools, so that they can influence children and young adults prior to college so that they would not have to waste time or money to influence academia, or a more pragmatic approach, they allow liberals to have influence over academia so that conservatives can have a greater influence over other areas in society such as the market and corporate America, both viable explanations why academia would be more liberal biased.

The fact is, you are just a loud mouth spewing out garbage while there are those similar-minded to you, but less dim-witted than you, who have the drive and ambition to try to change the country towards their favor but unlike you, they have a realistic view of the world and a pension for practicality, which dulls down any vitriolic rhetoric and beliefs. In the end you end up being just a single vote for a politician that will, in practicality, will only push a fraction of the issues you believe in and will probably cut that in half in order to make a compromise with some liberal democrats.

You can believe whatever you like; that is the nature of faith. Likewise, I can believe whatever is best supported by the evidence, which - as the very matter at hand, a pre-emptive attempt to spike equal marriage legislation which is already in force in a number of other countries and will be Federally backed in the next decade or so, demonstrates - suggests that:

More and more countries are implementing equality legislation. Those actively persecuting homosexuals - especially legally - are backwards Third World countries, so you're in good company.
Serious religious observance in civilised countries is on the wane. People still turn to religion out of habit or tradition to answer the questions they cannot, but science has provably answered so many of the questions that religion once claimed to have the only true answers to that the massive influence of the various churches is but a pale shadow of its former self.
Christianity in particular - especially non-Catholic Christianity - seems to me to be increasingly overwhelmed in mass and vibrance by newer, flashier religions like Islam. So even if I were to place a bet on religion winning over atheism, I wouldn't be backing whichever brand of Christianity it is you're subscribing to.

I feel comfortable in saying that on a grand scale religion is increasingly the preserve of the disadvantaged, not the privileged and the educated, and that as (hopefully) the world's standard of living and education improves religion will be marginalised into the history books. If I were charitable I would say that it served humanity well for a time - if I were not I would say it held us back for millennia - but frankly we are outgrowing it if we have not done so already. Old, bitter people like yourself who would deny others the happiness that is theirs to pursue are the last bearers of that burden, and I don't envy you your opinions or your transparently uncertain certainty.

What you cannot do is force your beliefs on others. Which is precisely what you and your ilk are trying to do by forcing blatantly discriminatory laws through the various American legislatures and sobbing about 'religious freedom' when challenged.

You appear to be suffering some confusion as to what, exactly, constitutes freedom of speech.

Please allow me to assist you with this helpful cartoon.

The Government is not going to proscribe your particular form of bigotry because it is Constitutionally protected. What it is going to do - legally, inexorably, and permanently (and I'm going to enjoy watching you shitwits squirm while it does) is prohibit you from discriminating using your bigotry in spheres which are not private. Your state, for example, should not prevent gay couples from marrying any more than it should prevent black couples from marrying. Your county should not prevent gay children from attending prom together any more than it should prevent Hispanic children from attending together. Your business should not refuse to hire gay people any more than it should refuse to hire Muslims.

Interfering with other people's right to an education, with their job prospects, with their ability to marry - that is forcing your beliefs on others. And calling me a 'libtard' just makes me want to watch your ability to do those things be dismantled piece by prejudiced piece even more. Statistically speaking, I'm confident we'll both live long enough to see all this legal bullshit collapse around your ears, and I'm going to enjoy it while it does.
