amyparade: Just wanted to clarify that it is not possible to experience racism as a white person in the US. Racism is a systematic oppression based on race, where one group receives economic power and prestige. Since white people ALWAYS hold this power and black people NEVER do, a black person cannot be "racist", only prejudiced against the majority. Racism is culturally defined, so if you moved to China you could experience racism as a white girl since you no longer hold economic power over others.
