muslimfeminist:

wow this compilation is a mess of people who don’t understand attraction, sexuality, can’t read and can’t distinguish between false equivalences

  1. the first post is about how men/boys whatever don’t undertsand why the entire population of women arent attracted to men yet they continually degrade women. it has nothing to do with choice, and it really doesn’t matter if sexuality is a choice or not
  2. that person never said they chose a different sexuality because they were on tumblr,  but they learnt more about sexualities and feminism and thus changed their sexuality. if you’re gonna read between the lines atleast try to read properly
  3. robots. fucking robots. that’s all i have to say. and if saying “i identify with a different gender” is a choice then yes i guess it is a choice.
  4. did the commenter read the post? it’s addressed to straight girls who are attracted to girls. in our society people don’t consider bisexuality, and the author of the post literally says “if you’re straight and like girls it could be that you are bi.”. but yeah if discovering what sexualtiies exist and then identifying with one is a choice then good
  5. … you can think someone is attractive without wanting to fuck them (sounds like straight boy mentality . asexual and aromantic people can find people can find others attractive without wanting to have sex with them or have a relationship with them. acephobia? more like a fucking reach.
  6. oh my goddddddddddd. not remotely the same thing. when men and others in society say ‘you haven’t found the right man’ it’s because they’re expecting everyone to be straight. when lesbian/bi woen suggest that, it’s a “society has taught you  your straight by default but that might no be the case, so explore your sexuality before coming to a decision”
  7. this literally doesn’t happen.

learn to read also who cares if sexuality is a choice or not the point is is that choice is valid

1. It DOES have something to do with choice. OP is implying that girls are lesbian because boys are mean to them, not because of their inherent sexual orientation.

2. Although that the person never explicitly said that they changed their sexuality because they were on tumblr, it is something that happens a lot on here. A straight cis person will join, and upon seeing posts glorifying LGBTQA people and degrading straight cis people, they come to a “revelation” that they are actually a different gender. Although it is possible that OP actually discovered their identity on tumblr, the majority of those cases are “transtrenders”.

3. Yeah, it’s a robot, but the same situation is applicable to people, and like I said, it’s something fairly common on tumblr.

4. The post is not directed to straight girls who are attracted to girls, it’s directed to straight girls who LIKE or maybe find other girls cute. But liking something != sexual orientation.

5a. You skipped this one, but I’d like to say that the post is literally saying that if you’re a girl who hasn’t kissed a girl then you’re doing something wrong. Not okay.

5b. While I agree that it’s not really acephobia, I noticed that you chose to ignore the first two posts, and the second person absolutely hits the nail on the head.

6. I think you’re reading into “have you considered other girls” a bit too much. Unless I have proof to the contrary, I’ll take what people say at face value. In this case, it’s just like saying “you just haven’t found the right guy yet” because it’s asking the person to change their orientation.

7. As evidenced by every post in this collection, it does happen.
