Gizmodeなどによると「特定の13文字（"Assirian"：アッシリア語）があるWebページをGoogle Chrome for Macで開くと、Google Chromeで表示しているページがクラッシュする不具合」が発見されたそうです。

　この不具合はChromium（Issue 468390）で報告され、問題の文字はSafariやChrome for Windowsなどでは正確に表示されるものの、Chrome for Macのみ(最新のv41.0.2272.89含む)が影響するそうです。（Issueページにも問題の文字が投稿されているため以下の引用は一部変更してあります）

　The VergeやVentureBeatの報告では「常にクラッシュするわけではない」としていますが、実際に試してみたところ問題の文字が表示されているページがレンダリングされるとそのページと既に開いている複数のページ（タブ）が確実にクラッシュしました。

VentureBeat notes that this doesn't happen every time, and our own tests seem to bear that out. One Verge staffer didn't experience any tab crash when loading the character string, so apparently Chrome doesn't load text the same way in every single instance.

　アッシリア語が既にほとんど使用されていない古代楔型文字なので、Mac OS X 10.5 Leopardの「はたけフリーズ」問題やOS X 10.8／iOS 6のアラビア語クラッシュ問題程ではないようですが、SNSやメールで送りつけられるとChrome for Macが使えなくなるとも指摘されているので注意して下さい。

This is pretty serious. You could imagine someone spamming this message in hangouts/gmail and just straight-up force crashing all Mac Chrome browsers. Someone could post this on Facebook, and force-crash all Mac Chrome browers that saw it.
