Exactly. The people excusing the cops all have that controversial signal next to them while those saying they are disgusted are highly in the positives.

One of the top comments even says, more or less, "Fuck context. This is wrong." and those who want context are frowned upon.

Hardly anyone is defending these cops without a lot of people disagreeing.

Those aren't necessarily the same factors at play. It may or may not all be in his head, depending upon what anyone viewing this may believe, but that doesn't form the basis to deem the opinion to be indicative of projection.

What makes people on reddit feel the need to say things like this? Overwhelming majority (as in 15 comments in I haven't seen a single comment to the contrary) thinks this was aggregious. But there is always some comment calling reddit out for some (it would appear) imagined bias. Trolls will troll, idiots will idiot but this is par for the course response no matter the skin colors.

Real issue here is cops with cowboy hats are never to be trusted

No, it is pretty apparent. Whenever a white person in victimized it's all calling for the cops head, when a black person is victimized there are tons of people trying to prove blacks are naturally more dumb and violent.

I've noticed the opposite honestly. If the suspect is black they say they are racists fuckers. If they're white they just say they're fuckers.

Reddit is full of middle to upper class white males that have libertarian view because they feel they are oppressed even thought they are one of the most privileged groups in the country. That and adding the view passed down by their openly racists parents you end up with reddit.

This also explains why a number of open hate groups are allow to exist on reddit.
