Is attributing this "shallowness" to reddit, as though reddit was a special group of people who disagreed with a more widely-agreed-upon premise, another decision to "make the new truth" what you want it to be?

Cause yeah...you're in the minority in general. And your idea of "truth", if seriously practiced on a large scale, would absolutely destroy civilization. No exaggeration. Morality would disappear, because you don't have to feel guilty about killing someone and stealing their stuff, if you simply decide that you never did it.
