My cat's drinking fountain required purchasing exclusive, expensive filters monthly, and was always breaking. Made a cheaper one for ~$20 that we both agree works better/is fun to watch. (imgur.com)

How much water does a bird contain? How much water do cats drink when they're offered tap water in a Cool Whip container? How much is enough? How much do they drink when you put a filter in the water. Just because a filter is better than a vet bill doesn't mean it's better than nothing. I don't think you've thought this through.

I keep seeing you make stupid comments of disagreement. Cats don't drink enough water and get sick as a result. What don't you understand about that? The filters and tricks people use are to make the water taste better or move around to entice them to drink more frequently. It's really not that complicated and all these people who have different vets that agree can't be wrong.
