Then don't start in the first place. The health risks/addictive nature are very well known, so it is entirely your fault if you get addicted (unless it's an extreme case of having cigarettes shoved in your mouth, which I doubt happened).
Another fatty-equivalent: it's like arguing that food is addictive.

Just to be clear, I fucking hate smoking. I hold my breath when I walk past smokers. But some people fall into it as stupid highschoolers and find it really hard to get out.
There is a difference between food addiction and nicotine addiction, come on.
What I'm trying to say is that I don't think just disregarding smokers as full humans like we should do to hams is right. Shame smoking, not all smokers.

Some people fall into bad eating habits and find it really hard to get out. It's pretty similar logic. It's even easier to never smoke, because you can completely 100% avoid nicotine (where you can't completely 100% avoid food).

Are you a former smoker or are you making things up? Because i am about 97.54% sure it's harder to quit smoking cold turkey than to eat less or exercise more.

I've never HAD to start. Unlike eating, smoking is purely a choice. It's easier to get fat than to get addicted to smoking.

It's gonna suck getting down voted in my fave sub, but I gotta disagree. It's hard as fuck for some people to get fat. While nicotine is one of THE MOST addictive substances on the planet. And eating to survive isn't a choice, but overeating to the point of making yourself obese is.
Maybe we shouldn't make assumptions about which is harder to quit unless we've experienced both. I've never been a fatass, you've never been a smoker. So it's impossible for either of us to say which is harder. It may even vary from person to person.
It's really fucking hard for me to get fat though.

Most fatties end up fat not because they are hungry all the time, but because of how they feel when they eat. That "feeling" is what causes fat people to gain weight...and of course, the eventual calorie surplus.
Whichever one is more difficult to quit, here is the thing. BOTH SMOKING AND OVEREATING ARE CRIMES AGAINST YOUR BODY, but only one of these crimes is pre-meditated. (Unless you're feeder or something).
At the end of the day, it's not even important which one is more difficult. Quitting is an absolute necessity and an expectation. Smokers dont deserve a fucking trophy for doing it and excuses are a big fat waste of time.

It takes time and effort to get fat. Getting addicted to ciggys can be as simple as having one or two.

As a smoker I have to disagree. Even crack won't addict you after "one or two" - there is no way cigs will. I actively chose to smoke for a while before I hit the point where it's tough to quit.

Saying NO to a "ciggy" is easier than lighting one up.
When you are constantly exposed to food (because you need it to live), it's easy to overconsume when you don't have calorie listings in front of your face. It's extremely easy to gain inadequate eating patterns or inappropriate food portions.
Cigarette addiction requires more effort. I'm pretty sure no one gets chemically addicted from just one cigarette. It's the other ones that get you. Most people don't find first-time-cigarette-use to be that appealing. They cough, throw up, etc. What drives people to do it again?
Choice.
