Rap amuses the shit out of me, to the point where I actually listen to it all the time. Honestly, most of it is just a capital letters, bold text reminder that I'm right about everything I think about black people. Top selling songs are usually about selling drugs, dancing, violence, and conspiracy theories. There's substantive stuff there too, but that's not what people are buying or what kids are using as their moral guidelines. And music is something they're really good at, so there's that.

I worked at a venue where Waka played, and you know who's his biggest audience? White kids who like him ironically because he's a caricature of black culture. Interesting that he's going to be the one to take a stand here.
