Activists Start “BlackOut” Day on Social Media; “F*ck Yo Saltine-Amerikkkan Forefathers!”

Activists on social media are participating in a “BlackOut” day on Tumblr and Twitter, as well as other sites. The goal of the day was to showcase the beauty of African Americans that the activists think is sorely lacking on the internet.

Despite these goals, the BlackOut day has spawned extremely racist posts by a number of users. One tumblr user, for example, participated in the BlackOut by writing, “Fuck Yo Saltine-Amerikkkan Forefathers!” and posting these pictures, which show him giving the middle finger to people such as Abraham Lincoln:

This post has gotten thousands of likes and “reblogs.”

Other activists believe that “white people” are cowards if they don’t support the BlackOut:

And then there are the users of different races who are spouting either racist nonsense, attacking “whites” because they “ruin” everything, attacking “whites” because we’re all “ugly,” threatening violence, and so on:
