Can I use the preview build alongside Office for Mac 2011?
Yes, you can use the preview builds of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for Mac alongside Office for Mac 2011.
How often will the preview be updated?
We will update the preview regularly, and you will receive the update via a notification from our Office for Mac Auto-Update tool.
How should I provide feedback and file bugs?
Look for the smiley face in the upper right corner of the application. Use that entry point to send feedback directly to
our team.
How long will the preview be available?
Every build will expire roughly 60 days after it is posted. The last preview build will continue to function for roughly a month after our official launch date.
What are the system requirements?
The new Office for Mac is officially supported on machines running Yosemite (10.10).
What languages are supported in the Office for Mac Preview?
3. Close the installer window once the install is complete.
4. The relevant applications will be installed under the Applications folder on your Mac.
Go to Finder -> Go Menu -> Applications -> Find the relevant apps.
Once you have found the app you want, either double-click it directly or drag it to your Mac Dock and double-click from
there.
How do I uninstall the Preview?
1. Go to the Go Menu in your Finder Menu.
2. Go to the Applications Folder.
3. Navigate to the Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, or OneNote app that you want to delete.
4. Drag the relevant app to your trash.
5. Empty the file from your trash.
What else should we know about the Preview?
Some features aren't final or may not work. We recommend that you always download and run the latest update so that you are using the most up to date features.
When is the official release?
The official release is in the second half of 2015. Get your Office 365 subscription today, customers with active subscription will be entitled to the newest versions when available.
