Excusing something purely because it's humorous to you allows you to excuse any behavior based on a person finding it funny. Psychopaths and serial killers find murder to be fun, or suffering to be funny. I was under the impression that armie soldiers abhorred this and set out to create a caricature of it.

But you cannot create a caricature of a troll. The troll is the caricature. Doing so reverses the roles, and now the good man is the troll and the troll is excused.

This intolerable act is what the troll has aimed for all along.

You have been taken for a ride. Your sensibilities manipulated, your paradigm shifted. In joining the trolls, the troll pulled the greatest troll of all on those who thought themselves most resistant to trolling.

No one was encouraging the racist 12 year olds but themselves. You all encourage each other as they do. You are like them.

They pound their chests and proudly proclaim their origins right here at good ol' reddit.com. When you peer into their comment history, you see mostly comments congratulating other soldiers on their successful conquests.

There is no way to tell you from the devil because you're wearing his skin.
