YAPC実行委員の石田です。

YAPC::Asiaは毎年全国、全世界から参加者が集まります。遠方の方は現地周辺に宿泊いただく事でしょう。
今年の開催期間となる8月下旬は、一般的にハイシーズンにあたります。つまり、ホテルは取りづらく、価格は高くなりがちです。
さらに、遠方の方はお台場周辺の地理に詳しくないであろう事から、ホテルを探すのにも難儀されると思います。

その為、今年は遠方から参加する方々向けに我々は先手を打ち、YAPCが開催されるビッグサイト近辺のホテルを50部屋50名分を確保致しました！
確保したホテルは、希望する皆様に（その時期にしては、多少）お安く提供する予定です。

とはいえ、例年遠方からの参加者は大勢いらっしゃいます。我々が確保できた数では全員分という訳にはいきませんので抽選になると思われます。あしからずご了承ください。

応募フォームは後日告知される予定です（5月頃を予定しております）。気になる方は、見逃さないように是非YAPCサイトからお知らせメールに登録下さい。

参考までに、今回我々が確保したのは以下のホテルです。

This year's YAPC::Asia Tokyo will be held during the high season in the summer. This means that it is going to be difficult to secure lodging close to the venue, or they will be expensive.

Fear not: we did what we can, and this year we have already secured rooms at nearby hotels for 50 people (50 rooms)! Unfortunately they are not free, but we will provide them at a slight discount!

The hotels that we secured are
・Hotel Sunroute Ariake, and
・Washington Hotel Tokyobay Ariake

We will be announcing how to apply to stay at one of these rooms soon (around May). Please register to our mailing list so that you won't miss the announcement! Please note that if we get more applications than available rooms, we will be drawing who gets the rooms at random.

Also, if you're an invited speaker from outside of Japan, you will get a room for free. Please contact @lestrrat for details.
