And where's the post lauding Lenny Dykstra statistics?

[–]San Francisco GiantsForeverFun -1 ポイント0 ポイント  (3子コメント)

cuz he cheated and still sucked. Bonds cheated and was the best hitter the world had ever been seen (and likely ever will).

What about Babe Ruth? His OPS+ was nearly 20 points higher than Bonds. He was hitting more home runs than entire teams. He did what he did in the least offensive era of baseball and singlehandedly revolutionized the game. Oh yeah, and he lost a few years of counting stats because he was busy being one of the best starting pitchers in the game.

Babe Ruth is judged how he did against the competition of his day. Bonds should be too.

That's exactly my point. Ruth came into the dead ball era and flipped baseball upside down. Bonds did what he did in what was by far the most offensive era of baseball.

Wait so some one else cheated so its OK for Barry to cheat? Also where is my post about how great Lenny was? Strawmen are the refuge of someone who can't form their own logical opinion.

If everyone is cheating, no one is cheating. Normal players had to use PEDs to put up stats that Bonds could do clean. Dykstra used PEDs and still sucked donkey balls.

No, if everyone is cheating, everyone is cheating. I seriously don't get all of the excusing of cheating that happens in this sub. Who taught you that more people doing the wrong thing makes that thing ok?

If you're running a 100M race and you start 10M ahead of everyone, you're getting an unfair advantage. If everyone starts at the same place, there is no unfair advantage.
