CSで発売している格闘ゲーム、
ファントムブレイカーのキャラクターを使った
レトロ風ベルトスクロールアクション。
XBOX360でプレイ済みです。

キャラデザインは人を選ぶアレ系ですが、
格闘ゲーム風のシステムにヌルヌル動くドット。
LVアップでステータス&スキル振り分け、
Co-op可能とアクションゲームとしては
硬派な内容となっております。

後々、アップデートでオンライン対応する予定もあるらしく
値段の割には作り込まれているので、
協力アクションやベルトスクロールに飢えている人ならお勧めです。
格闘ゲーム好きにも合うと思いますΣd(ﾟдﾟ*)ｨｨ!!


欠点はシステムを作り込み過ぎていて、
格闘ゲーム慣れしていない人だと恐らく混乱を起こす事。
操作説明が25Pもある事から
一度で覚えるのは難しく、全システムを理解するのに時間がかかります。

とはいえ、適当に動かしていても
爽快感が出るように工夫はされているので
初心者から上級者まで楽しめるようになっているとも言えるでしょう。

余談ですが、最初から日本語有りで
制作者はおま国否定派らしいです。
日本人には優しい開発かもしれませんφ(･д･｡)

格ゲーのスピンオフ作品でベルトスクロールアクションもの。
ストーリーは完全に前作（？）の続き物なのだが、そこはジャンルがジャンルなだけに特に知らなくても問題ない上に
そもそもこれで語られるストーリーが超薄い。分岐はないしキャラ変えても展開は同じ。
よってそこらへんは気にしなくても問題なし。

家庭用版にあったオンラインCOOPモードが削られていて実質ソロゲーになっており
更にDLCがこちらにはないためレベルキャップ到達（最大50）が早く、
各キャラ1時間も稼ぎプレイすれば余裕でカンストし収集要素（武器集めなど）もないためやることがなくなる。
あとはタイム・スコアアタックくらいか。
ステージは全部で8つでいずれも１０分程度でクリア可能。

こうして書くと超薄くてつまんなさそうに思えるが、前身の格ゲーの要素を大きく取り入れているため
ベルトスクロールアクションゲームとしてはキャラの操作がかなり作りこまれており
単純に操作していてとても楽しい。キャラ可愛いし（重要）ボイスも同じく。

全ての動作が思い通りキビキビ動く他、
ジャンプ攻撃→通常攻撃ｘN→浮かし必殺技→ジャンプ追撃→めくり浮かし→超必殺技→追撃みたいなコンボも自由自在に入る。
コマンドも全キャラ「→と必殺技ボタンで必殺技１」「→→とボタンで２」「↓とボタンで３」「ニュートラルとボタン２つで超必殺技」と瞬時に出しやすい形式になっており、
うまく昇竜拳が出せない人でも楽勝である。
上下の概念がなく２ライン制なので軸あわせもカンタン。

その他サイクバースト的な緊急回避技や自速度上昇・敵速度低下のオーバードライブモード、
ハイジャンプ、２段ジャンプ、投げ、投げ抜け、ブロッキング、直ガ、ガードブレイクなどなど格ゲーで見たことある要素はだいたい入っている。

つらつら書いたものの
結局のところオンラインCOOPやレベルキャップ上昇などが実装されれば手放しでおすすめ、
現状の仕様のままならセールで買えば満足度はそこそこ高いと行った感じだと思われる。
セールでなくてもキャラが気に入ったなら突撃しても問題はないだろう。定価自体がそれほど高くもないし。
可愛いは正義だし。

なぜオンラインマルチがないんですか！
それさえあればみんなでワイワイ遊べて最高に面白いゲームだと思います！

本当に、そこだけは早く何とかしてほしいです…

If you're looking for a beat em up with anime arcade retro style themed, this game is best for you.
Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds is a very fun game where you choose your waifu and beat up
many weird and creepy adults and otakus with your flashy combos.

The Good:
Cute colorful characters
Very good sprite graphics
sweet 8-bit BGM's

The bad:
no online co-op

I own this game on my psvita and this game is really fun to play now I got my chance to play it on a bigger screen.

To put it shortly: if you're looking for a beat em' up style of a game to play by yourself, then this is a great addition to your library; but if you're looking for co-op, stay clear (for now).

Before I say anything, YES there are issues with this game (SO MANY), but I honestly had fun. Despite the lack of online and remappable keys, Phantom Breaker Battle Grounds kept me entertained all the way through. The battle mechanic was surprisingly deep and it wasn't to the point where I wasn't overwhlemed with its techniques. Although it's a beat em' up, the gameplay is more like that of a fighting game (considering how this is a spin off of a fighting game) with oh so satisfying combos. The leveling system is like that of Castle Crashers where you'll add points to specific stats or your skill tree. The vibrant colors and soundtrack really draw you in the minute you start the game. This game is kind of like Scott Pilgrim in that you'll have trouble in the beggining of the game, but later on you'll be super buffed and the diffucult is basically nonexistant. The diffuculty really sets in during bosses, where most of the time you'll have to resort to spamming. The lack of multiplayer is a big downgrade from the console versions; but by myself, I was highly entertained. I HIGHLY reccomend that you play this game with a controller.

Technical issues with this game include: No online co-op, No remappable keys, bugs (although I havn't had any for myself), and the lack of dlc from the console versions (where is Kurisu?). Overall, this is a TERRIBLE port. Simple as that. HOWEVER, the creators have gone and addressed these issues and are trying to patch these problems in the future. As for the online portion, the creators are hesitant to add this feature in due to the feedback from the pc port. Hopefully they go through with it.

PROS:
+Addictive fighting mechanic w/ deep leveling system
+Bright colors and catchy tunes
+Secrets and plethora of chracters add replayablilty

CONS:
-No online
-Unmappable keys
-SHORT (I clocked in at 2.5 hours)
-This game can be unfailry diffulcult at times (especially bosses)

Final Verdict: 5/10
*If this game gets EVERYTHING IMPORTANT patched then the score will change to a 8/10

Anime Scott Pilgrim 10/10

As someone that HASN'T played the console version of this game (or the Vita) it's a very fun beat-em-up akin to that of Panzer Bandit of the PSX. Alot of playability in this game but grinding the levels to unlock moves and specials for later difficulties is a bit of a grind so expect to put some time into this before you can start to feel the full force of the character you play. Over 7 stages of decent length and 5 different difficulty modes there's a good amount to do in this game.

Pros:

-Unique characters: no one character feels the same to play, a unique experience to be had with all charcters

-Smooth combat: having 3 attacking buttons that execute different parts of one entire move chain flows very well and doesnt overload the player with memorizing alot of moves

-Easy to pick-up: with a stage selectable story mode that interacts with how far you get in arcade mode it's easy to pick up where you left off or just go on an arcade run

+/-

Leveling: Having to level up the characters ,each and everyone you play, can become tedious over time when you get into building stats and unlocking your moves which both have significant impact on gameplay.

Cons:

-NO ONLINE: This is important, as the fact that there's no online multiplayer makes an otherwise great game only decent, there's talks of adding it to the game in this version which would improve the over all appeal to the game.

-Brutal level cap: 50 is the current cap which makes progressing pass harder difficulties to much of a challenge as stats and skills are limited

-No Achievements: For those that care about that kind of stuff there isnt any achievements added in this game.


Despite how enjoyable the game is for me, the brutal level cap and lack of online makes this a hard game to recommend to people. Untill the Level cap raises and/or online gets put in I'd say skip this game unless:

A) You're a fan of Phantom breaker or the anime style in general
B) A fan of beat em ups with jumping into different lines
C) The game is on sale

Pretty good Beat em up game. Action is very fluid, but the overall game is pretty short. The game has pretty good replayability as you attempt to get your character as strong as possible on the skill tree.

Apparently the max level right now is 50 (even though they have screenshot with a level 99 character). Devs have stated they are saving the level 99 and one extra character for DLC (*sigh* like every other game company...)

As much as I enjoy and kinda sorta appreciate the attempt for a pc port.
I really have to advise agesnt buying this game until if even every on line co op is added.
as far lvl 50 max cap, good luck attempting to finish the game on hard or any setting higher with that kinda lvl/skill cap.

A fair few chararters but only 8 stages, no loots/equips/gear , so nothing to really come back and keep playing for.

Really the no co op aspect is the only true negative aspect about this game, like many here I only brought this with co op in mind, both on line and local, but hell we can't even local co op this game.

So untill they add co op. I wouldn't advise paying 12$ for this game, hell I wouldn't even give it 5$.

3 ♥♥♥♥ing weeks later and still not even a single patch.

This PC port is just a waste. Black screen of death with Mikoto, 5-10FPS for most that actually got it running, botched controls and NO online multiplayer. It's sad that I was forced to buy the Vita version just to give the game a try. Don't get me wrong, the game is good but I would highly recommend the 360 or Vita version over this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ port any day of the week. The Kurisu DLC pack is also missing which adds her as a playable character and ups the level cap from 50 to 99.

Phantom Breaker Battle Grounds (Steam)= Flushing money down the toilet

So, I wanted to buy this game on sale, but today in econ class, I learned the principle costs v. benefits. The benefits surpassed the cost by far, so I bought it.

Really fun game, if you are into anime characters and beat´em up games, you should give it a try.

ファイナルファイトやキャッスルクラッシャーのような上下に自由に動けるタイプでなく、ガーディアンヒーローズに似た２ライン間で移動するタイプのベルトスクロールアクションです。

Steam版で初めてプレイする人には8bit風に描かれた秋葉原などの東京の背景や、ファミコン風音源を模したBGM、声優人による多数のボイスなど楽しめると思います（8bit再現でなく、あくまでも8bitハード風なゲームであるという点で）。

Xbox版でリリースされたクリス追加パックが現バージョンではリリースされていない（リリース未定？）、COOPや対戦（育てたキャラ同士で対戦できます）は全てオフラインとXbox版と比較すると足りない点があるので、後のリリースに期待。

家庭機からの移植です。
日本語表示については問題なく、音声も日本語なのでその点では安心です
しかし現状ではオンラインによるマルチ対戦が機能していません
また、実績システムが削除されていること、DLCがないためレベルキャップが開放されず、Lv50止まりのため2週目の終盤程度でカンストしないままステータスが頭打ちになります

劣化移植版とよんで差し支えない出来のため、暇つぶしにオフラインでチョッコと遊ぼうくらいの感覚な方にお勧めします。
家庭機版をすでにプレイされた方や、やりこみ派の方はオンライン環境の整備&DLC解禁後がよろしいかと

ガーディアンヒーローズが楽しめた人にはオススメ。
8bit風のせいで文字が読みにくかったり、一部の敵ボイス音量がデカイ（煩い）のが玉に瑕。
現状ではオンラインプレイやDLCの差で、箱版かPS版を買った方がお得かも？
マルチプレイできる環境があれば、よりいっそう楽しめると思う。

トレジャーのガーディアンヒーローズライクなベルトゲー。
あちらは個別のシチュエーションをどう撃破するかを重視していた気がするが、これは格ゲー的な要素もありアクション重視のもよう。
出てくる敵が多く、動きも早くてあまり考えて行動はできないのでとにかく斬り込みまくるのを楽しむゲーム。
手前と奥の2ラインだけなので、ベルトゲーにありがちな軸合わせの面倒がないのがいい。

レベル制でポイントをステータスやスキルに振り分けられるが、振ったポイントはあとでも取り消して振り直せる。
ストーリーモードはそれほど長くはなく、3~4時間でクリアできる長さ。
最初の方にでてくる街は実際と非常に近く、「お、いまこんな店あんのw」みたいに眺められるのがたのしいw
途中からはビルの中とかよくわからん異界とかになるが。

かなりテンポが早いのでぶっ通しでやると結構疲れるが、難度もそこそこ(でも慣れてない人は手こずると思う)なので暴れたい人に。

1997年にバンプレスト（開発：フィルインカフェ）から発売されたPS用ゲーム「パンツァーバンディット」のような（開発者が同じ人です）2ラインスクロールACTです。

操作性もかなり単純で、複雑な操作はあまり無い（2ボタン同時押しの操作ぐらいでしょうか、簡易ボタンもあります）ためアクションゲームが壊滅的に苦手な筆者でも「ボコボコに相手を打ちのめす爽快感」が味わえます。
適当にボタンを押しているだけでもコンボがつながるため、ほんの少しですがガチャプレイを許容できてしまえます。
ですがキャラクターのレベルを上げないと操作性が向上しない（利用できるゲームシステムの開放に関わります）ため、暫くは戦っていてしんどい部分はあるかもしれません。

Steam版ではオンラインプレイ周りが用意されていないということなのでコンシューマー版で出来た「難しい難易度・ステージを友達と一緒に攻略する」遊び方が出来ません、そんなー

Xbox非公式コントローラードライバ「X360c」系をお使いの方はドライバ側コントローラ設定でZ軸+と-の両方のボタン設定を割り当てないと正常に動きません！

最近のゲームとしては非常に珍しいベルトスクロール型の8bit風アクションゲームです。
ただ単に8bitにこだわっただけではなく、ゲーム中に表示される背景、BGM、エフェクトなど非常に作りが細かく、とても楽しめる作品になってます。
また、キャラクターの成長要素、難易度のバランスなど、初心者からゲーム慣れしている上級者まで、幅広い層に最後までゲームを楽しめるつくりになっています。

私は無論可愛さだけでこのゲームを買ってしまったわけなのですが、思ったより出来のいい作品だったので、久しぶりにドはまり出来るゲームが見つかったと大変嬉しく思っているところです。

騙されたと思って一度買ってみてください。
このゲームの面白さは100%保証できます！

が、オンラインでcoopができないのは残念です。
また、レベルキャップが現時点で50Lvまでになっているので、スキルツリーを完成させることは確実に不可能です。

その点は時間の流れとともに解決してくれる事を祈ってこのゲームを評価します。

Stage one you're running through Akihabara beating up some creepy otaku and gyaru girls, even fighting through 'Hey' arcade and eventually other areas in Tokyo .. You'd probably have to be familiar with Phantom Breakers to get what the characters are grudging over, but none of that gets in the way.

Enemies are amusing, and often they heavily reference enemy types from Streets of Rage and sometimes even TMNT in some very humorous ways and the art may be taking some visual cues from the Scott Pilgrim beat-em-up (and that's a great thing). That in my opinion is the best part of this game, is all the references that are packed in, the care put into the backgrounds and how it all just comes together with really fun and slick controls. If you're a fan of these things, from Akiba culture to beat-em-up references, you'll love the subtle treats they have in store for you.

If you have the controllers, this game is well worth it whether it's to play co-op TMNT style or to play it solo. There's 5 difficulty modes, characters to level up and plenty of challenge in this package. And even if you just wanted to show 5pb. there's a place for them or Steins;Gate on Steam, you can't go wrong.
