You seriously have issues if you have time to go around on the internet crying everytime somebody puts down lil wayne. In case you didn't notice, my original post was a joke.

Furthermore I didn't dismiss the entire Genre, I simply said that I don't like to listen to it.

That's the same fucking thing. LITERALLY.

Lil wayne is not talented. ALL OF HIS SONGS HAVE THE SAME FLOW. His hooks often involve repeating the same basic line over and over (that's the opposite of rapping youhadonejob.jpg). His technique is very basic. His vocabulary is very small (google rappers ranked by vocabulary). Thematically 90% of his songs are exactly the same. They often have no point or story to them, just a random string of shit talking and bragging, each line irrelevant to the one before it.

So we can say that comparatively, lil wayne's songs are very generic. The rhmes are generic. The flow is generic. The themes are generic. Etc... To top it all off his voice is annoying as hell.

Since you're basic, you probably have no idea what I'm talking about. Let me explain: Good rappers will try to fit as many rhymes (as well as assonance) as are possible into his verse. Basic rappers tend to utilize a one-syllable rhyme exclusively at the end of each bar, instead of multisyllabic rhymes in different places in the bar, or complex multisyllabic rhymes in the same order but in different places in the bar. There are internal rhymes, external rhymes, block rhymes, free rhymes, use of rhythmic phrases, Unique grammatical phrase groupings, word bending, etc... Wayne utilizes NONE of these. His rhmes are as fucking basic as it gets.

That doesn't even cover flow, another area Wayne is lacking.

So what's left? Why do people claim he's a rap genius? Shitty puns, that's why. High school kids think "I'm killing time - dead clocks" is an example of genius. I don't know how to respond to this but laugh.
