“This man can’t draw a vagina so therefore men should not be allowed to have an opinion on women’s rights.” If you really want to entertain such a profoundly stupid argument, if women are so amazing at drawing male anatomy, why is yaoi hands a thing? If drawing vaginas is so easy, why is most feminist artwork of it usually so ugly and anatomically incorrect? I’ve seen a lot of feminist vagina drawings, sculptures and paintings in etsy and I laugh my arse off each time at every deluded feminist artist who thinks she’s Georgia o Keefe.Watch: We asked men to draw vaginas — and it proved an important point about women’s rights
If men don’t know basic facts about a woman’s body, how can they legislate it?
Sounds simple enough, and yet this message continues to fall on deaf ears in Congress, where the overwhelming majority of elected officials remain white and male.
To illustrate why this is actually a really serious problem, we decided to conduct a special experiment, asking men from Mic to do one simple thing: Draw a vagina. The goal? To see how much educated men really know about women’s bodies. The result?
This is really fucking stupid, (not the congress being all male and white but the fact that being unable to draw a vagina from memory if you don’t have one is somehow hurting woman’s rights.)
I’m very sorry for you, my friend. You are basically saying that you don’t need to know about a subject to make laws about it. If you cannot even draw a fucking vagina (let alone know how it works) how are you supposed to advocate about the health and lives of people with vaginas? How can you deny me free birth control when you don’t care to study about how my body functions? It’s like you want to be an expert on a subject but you don’t really care about the subject itself, you just want to make rules about it. This is VERY important, because it affects people’s lives.
And, come on man, it’s not that hard to draw a fucking vagina.I once went into a discussion of whether or not the g-spot existed with my GP, and we both tried to draw anatomical maps to illustrate our points - and failed utterly.
She found that quite amusing.
The inability to draw only proves YOU CAN’T DRAW.
So if women can’t drawn an AR-15, they can’t legislate them either? Can you draw ISIS territories on a map? No? Then you cannot have an opinion on ISIS.
Can you draw a fetus? No? Then you cannot have an opinion on abortion.
Can you draw hardcore gay sex? No? Then you cannot have an opinion of gay rights?
See how this standard makes no sense at all?
Also, how hard is it draw a vagina? It’s just a slit with a bunch of weird wrinkles and folds around it. It looks like something that would be on a Star Trek alien’s forehead.
Flight Instructor: Welcome to the final phase of your flight training. Before we can award you your wings as a qualified airline pilot, we require you to draw an accurate drawing of an Airbus A380-800 from memory.
Student pilot: But I can’t do that!
Flight Instructor: Then you have failed the course. You can’t be a pilot unless you can accurately draw an aircraft from memory. Any knowledge you have on the subject is irrelevant, I’m sorry, but that’s the way mic.com has decreed all human activity has to be. Please find another career.
The logic behind the idea you can’t draw something, therefore you shouldn’t pass legislation on it is just absolutely stupid.
Most people, men and women, will draw female genitalia as a triangular mass of scribbles. I guess women who can’t draw an accurate vagina are not allowed to have opinions on female reproductive rights, because by this poster’s logic, they have even less excuses for being unable to draw a vagina, much less a photo realistic one from memory.
